Actually, Techno is nothing like that stuff.
I'm 99.99% sure Nightcore is Techno, iirc.
You have no idea what "Techno" is or what it means.
Techno = the likes of Aphex Twin, Autechre, Orbital, Leftfield, BT, Boards Of Canada, Hybrid.
The artists you list are - as you said - cheesy euro bubblegum pop music with a slight "Dance music" similarity. These people take the label of "Dance music", strip it of all it's originality and spirituality and pump out 3-minute "anthems" for people that want a quick fix of cheap "boom boom boom".
Techno is not this - it never was this.
Techno is a sub-genre of Electronic Dance music - generally considered to be far away from mainstream chart music (such as Cascada) - it can be exotic, trippy, far out, mind blowing, weird, intellectual. Music that is made with the intention of pushing musical boundaries.
In other words - the exact opposite of the generic, same-old-same-old, music-for-profit stuff churned out endlessly by people like Basshunter.
Take BT (Brian Transeau) - a God in the field Electronic music. His music is extremely complex, constantly pushing boundaries and sitting at the very edge of the most oustanding and mind-blowing musical possibilities. He incorporates pure creative originality, with powerful technology and beautiful musical talent. Music for the mind and the heart - not just music for money. Listen to his music and then compare it to Basshunter and you will see what "Techno" music is, and how different it is to "cheesy bubblegum pop".
