What annoys you about NT teenagers?

They think that just because you aren't talking, you're upset. I was walking down the hall and this girl pestered me so much about what I was upset about, when nothing was wrong, and I told her this, but she didn't believe it. Eventually I just made something up.

They have horrible grammar. MY school yearbook is made by the Epub elective people and there are a ton of misspellings, and they even spelled my name wrong.

They don't understand me.
Also feel they HAVE to use sarcasm...
Always so loud. :/

They give dirty looks and talk only about superficial things

I can't say that one thing bothers me about all of them. I find that most people are quite nice.
However, something I dislike is "swag" AND YOLO.

their sheepish mentality and their general lack of logic.

Their bad taste in music! Really!

I like "old" stuff, and the smut that is out there today just irritates me.

RUSH was right...I wish I could go live in the past - a "better, vanished time".

EVERYTHING. Just kidding my BFF is an NT teenager. All of them are except for one who most likely has ADD.
Basically:
Makeup obsession
Clothes obsession
Boys obsession (I have a friend who is a boy and I get along with him better than I do most girls my age)
Giggling REALLY loudly (when I have too much sugar I get giggly but it is usually kinda suppressed)
Talking over each other. I can't filter out background noise for Pete's sake KEEP IT DOWN.
Lack of concern over school.
Jewelry/nails obsessions. Even my home school friends are slightly obsessed.

Overall NT teens are pretty good to me I think to them I'm just that slightly odd quiet girl with jokingly violent tendencies towards a certain male who violates her personal space all too frequently....

Then you know some nice NTs. I don't like the ones I'm surrounded by. But I will agree with you, anyone that uses the word swag should be slapped, and Drake should be shot in the kneecaps for bringing YOLO into the mainstream. Instead of using swag... I shall use bravado. I find it classier.

Hey, hey, hey.... Adults can be just as loud and annoying as well. And yes, they don't understand me, I don't understand them, and a couple of autistic people I know are palling about.

I agree up until the last statement. Um... What can I say that hasn't been said? I think someone might've covered the hypocrisy, but oh well. Let me say it again. I don't really like the hypocrisy.

Mainstream music. It must be popular because of them... but why (?!) do they have to like it? It's just so annoying!

Other than that I'm always getting asked if I'm alright or if I'm sick when I have a day during which I just don't feel like talking much. I once even felt exceptionally good yet two teachers actually asked me whether I wanted to go home and a few others were concerned as well.
Yet whenever I feel really bad everyone keeps being noisy and tells me about the stupidest things that I just don't care about and while so many NTs seem to pick up on other's nonverbal way of saying "shut up and leave me alone" it doesn't work for me...

And many of them had already an opinion about me before ever meeting me. I didn't even know them yet they seemed to know enough to judge me. I don't know if this is a purely NT thing but it's not what I do though.

Duney, some people in wrongplanet are loud and obnoxious. It's not an "NT" thing, and there is no "NT personality." Stop feeling like you're so superior over NTs or that autistics' s**t doesn't stink or that they as a whole lack any annoying PERSON trait. Because they don't. They lie, they cheat, they pretend, they manipulate, they act rude, they act obnoxious, they beat around the bush, they do all sortshis hurts me just like it would hurt for a black person when they read "What annoys you about black people?" This thread is "racist", plain and simple, and I'm tired of seeing racist threads around wrongplanet. The racist part of autistics can go live on an NT free island for all I care. If we suck so much, get away from us. at least don't degrade us by talking to us or asking us for any help. It's just as wrong as racism; it's hurtful, and it's not alright! Hypocritical too if you don't appreciate it when people are racist towards autistics!

Also, how they all talk at once and somehow understand each other. It makes no sense whatsoever.

And how they don't realize that Autism is NOT necessarily a 'mental impairment' like the chronic forms of Down Syndrome and such- the call us ret*d right in front of our faces. Sometimes when someone makes fun of someone with autsim or Asperger's they don't realize that I am one.

Hmm...Generally speaking, they have better intuition than us (depends on age though), so it's easier for them.


This, by the way, is what annoys me about NT's, period.
