((Sorry if I do anything wrong, this is my first post to the site and I haven't been a member of a forum of this type in years now))

My current obsessions are mainly Sherlock Holmes and the History of the Marvel Comic book industry, and to a lesser extent, the fictional universe itself. (The Marvel one has actually been prevalent for most of my life. I think it's interesting how some obsessions never really go away while some are just extensive research for a month or two)

I think my longest dormant obsession would have to be Harry Potter- that one lasted about ten or eleven years (From the time I was 5, at least) before it died down a bit.

Perhaps my weirdest, going by what I've heard directly from others, would either be my obsession with street drugs (particularly cocaine and benzos, I should note I've never used drugs in an illegal manner) and Playground Songs.

Right now, I'd say demonology and angelology (mostly demonology), schizophrenia, eating disorders and instant noodles.

Just wondering, when you say "History of the Marvel Comic book industry" do you mean from an entertainment point of view? As in, like, the actual comics and stories themselves?

Or more from a marketing, company, product, supply and demand kind of way?

Also, the Sherlock Holmes one, would you be referring to the older novellas, of the modernized theatrical, cinematic and televised adaptions?

Anywho, MY OBSESSIONS:

- Music Production (I like to make my own music. I use all kinds of VST and DAW programs, and have tried my best to learn a lot about making music. I've learned a lot more than I would have ever imagined that's for sure. Making music on FL Studio is a lot more complicated then people might think. Right now I only use Audacity, Garageband and Virtual DJ for my productions and for my remixes of already existing songs, but I'm working on updating my software to Fruity Loops)

- General superhero stuff...

- Steampunk stuff.

- Making my own stories. I noticed a lot of teens like to write their own novels and stuff, but me? I make my own comic books. I draw the art and everything. It's disorganized and sloppy looking, but I'm satisfied enough with it. I'm a decent drawer, that's for sure. And it's only made me better by learning. Right now I'm working on a steampunk themed mystery-conspiracy comic. The concept arts all done, but the actual story/themes I need to work out.

- Can't think of the other stuff right now. But yeah...

Since being diagnosed with AS, I have become determined to learn more about autism and why I am the way I am.

Oh, geez...well I had tons of animal obsessions in my younger years - elephants, horses, and dogs. From third to fourth grade I had a really extreme one over guinea pigs. Luckily my obsessions are usually on the less intense side - or at least, on the shorter side. Every time I got a new video game I would play it beyond religiously for at least a solid week or two. I had an episode this previous November over Rune Factory 4 - I was playing it until three in the morning every night including weeknights, would play it on any breaks at school, and the entire time I was home. I would go to bed thinking about it and something I was legitimately believing at that time was 'if I can just spend the rest of my life playing this game, everything would be perfect.' I despised being pulled away from it. At the moment I'm sort of just disinterested in everything but in the past I've had some very emotionally-linked obsessive periods with roleplaying.

I tend to obsess over things for a few months before moving onto something else. Some I remember (and still like) are:

Lego <-- still love it, I have loads
Pokemon <-- pokemon diamond and pearl on TV, games etc. my parents banned us watching it along with yugioh (yugioh gx)
YuGiOh! <-- Arc-v coming out I watch English subs
Mechano <-- kinda
Manga <-- yep library at school only has about 6 books per series of books which sucks
Fan fiction <- so much reading sometimes
Books <-- I love reading I finished all the books at home that I was interested in. I find it hard to find new ones to read. I currently am taking part in carnigie shadowing at school.

That is possibly all - I kinda cycle round these and a few others which I can't remember. My friend has autism and is obsessed with yogscast.
That is all I have to say

Welcome to Night Vale, it's a podcast with brilliant representation, a great storyline and very good voice behind it :D
NBC's series on Hannibal, I'm a sucker for gore so that drew me in pretty fast and the fanbase generally seems lovely, the show's very artistic and I'm really loving everything about it so far!
I'd like to get more into cooking, but I'm gonna wait till I have my own kitchen before I do that :P
