Besides for P.E. (and let me say I do like things within P.E. such as baseball, tennis, badminton and volleyball but I hate to be forced to play any sport - it has to be on MY terms) History was my most loathed subject in HS/college.

But the irony is that nowadays I simply love History, especially of WW2, Scotland, the 13 Colonies, etc.

P.E, English and History because I see no point in any of these courses past the first two years of high school.

PE. I don't mind sport but I, like polymathpoolplayer, hate to be forced.
Mindless subjects like Citizenship and PSHE I just don't see the point in.

Lunch, if that counts. I'd much rather be learning something, at least I know what we are doing. At lunch, I have to sit there awkwardly since I have no clue what to say or do. Most days I just bring a book.

i disliked modern history.
i could not give a damn what happened 70 years ago.

i did not understand why anyone would want to dig up old happenings and be interested in them.

it seemed to me to be like crows in a garbage dump that are looking for nutrition from a reality that is in the past.

i did not get on with my modern history teacher. he had a dirty beard and i felt disgusted by it. i wondered how much dried saliva was crystallized in his beard.

when he raved about men who are long dead, i just was completely disinterested and i opposed any effort he made to "get through" to me.

there were some dramas that ensued that made me even more disinterested in modern history.

i told him one day when he was being aggressive to me for not being interested in his dialogue that i just wanted dates and names and locations, and i did not care for the rest of the story.

i was ejected from the class because it made the other kids unsettled and they became unruly apparently because of me.
whatever.

i do like paleontology but whatever happened 70 years ago i am not going to clog my mind with.
