i had this anoying geekie guy at at school that i was anoyed to hang around with a few times playing magic the gathering, which we both sucked at. i was also an anoying geekie guy...but still he supposedly discredited me for hanging out with me. stupid of course and i didnt give a f.
years later i suddenly met him again with going out and all that, hed totally changed, slightly more then me even, and we...well we werent friends but we hung out some when wed meet. ow yeah and i was in a fake band with him a while, a band that never even rehearsed or got together to make music, tleast not with me (i was supposedly the drummer).
at some point i found out that this guy is asperger. hes the guy that knows everyone and goes to every bar in teh city at least once a week, but you cant atually be friends with him, he doesnt want that. nice guy though, usually.

since recently i know he frequents vampire-freaks as i sometimes do. kinda not really expecting him here, but he might.

I just found out that only 1 of the seven actually knows he has it. another decribes it as "I'm different then the others. you see I have a head disease called Autism."

So I've posted in this topic before, but I found out the boy I sort of sit next to* has Aspergers Syndrome! (Sorry if this seems like an overreaction. I'm just happy that I met another one outside of the Internet.)

* = There are three desks next to each. I sit on one end, then there's an empty seat, and he sits at the other end. So, technically it's not next to each other, but it's close enough.

There's one guy I know of with AS in my school and he sits next to me in Biology, and we get on quite well. Most people with ASDs around where I live go to a specialist autistic school which is literally right next to the school I go to, though.

I'm a member of a teen aspie support group thingy that a few people from my school go to.
One of them's an emo hermaphrodite furry (yes, I'm being serious), another thinks he's some kind of dragon in human form and likes bragging about how angry and violent he is, another's morbidly obese, thinks Africa isn't a continent, and talks like Steve Urkel.
There are about two people in that group whom I actually like, tho'. There's a science fiction fan and a guy who writes fantasy and is big into metal. They're pretty cool, but they're outweighed in number by people who simply irritate me.

I'm actually thinking of starting my own aspie support group at my school if they open up activity period again. I also know an aspie who's actually one of the brothers of a fellow band member at school. He doesn't go to my school yet, however, but I do talk about Asperger's to his sister (her name is Jamie). Now that she knows I'm an aspie, more people know about my Asperger's at school(which can be a good thing or a bad thing! lol) It's not as if the whole school knows about it; just some people I think.

Yes, two, both friends of mine. Plus, my professor, whom I absolutely adore, has a child with Asperger's, and it's quite clear that he's an Aspie himself. We really click because we understand each others' idiosyncracies and he knows how to help me get around my nonverbal learning deficits to learn material that I struggle with.

Privat territory for NT`s is 40 centimeters, EVEN if you know them good...
And some guys likes too get their hopes up :D

Actualy I know this girl who is Bipolar, and she acts that way around man and wymen, and she`s often critizised. She has a lover in japan, so by NT`s she was denunced untrustworthy..., weird...

PS:Typical man (by society: that means strong unepathic, technical etc) are VERY teritorial, you get often hurt...

I know two and they're both girls.
I heard somewhere that it's more common in boys, but the only ones with AS I know are girls including me. :?

All my friends at my school are diagnosed with Asperger's or think they have Asperger's.

I'm very lucky in that regard.
