Everything above the shoulders. Every tiny detail - I'm a photographer, I appreciate these things. And of course, what's inside the head is even more important than what's on the outside.

In a lass:

Essential:
Compassionate.
Interested in learning such and such.
Willing to put up with my tastes.
Liberal-minded (I thought about this and tbh, I couldn't live about a girl who would disagree with me hugely. In fact, this point may be very irrelevant as it tends to come with the above combinations).

Optional but wonderful:
Vegan.
Shares tastes.
Puts effort in appearance.
Candid.
Patient enough.
Confident.
Large eyes.
Chin-length curly hair.
Very long, straight hair.
Dreadlocks.
Shortish/medium-length hair that indicates voluptuous character.
Curvy or thin.
Can put up with clinginess, as I can imagine myself developing this.
Far Eastern.
African.
Basically not English (our girls are mainly fugly).
Prefers one-on-one socialising.

I'll leave it at that for now.

a topic that is still strangely intriguing, but a thread that now makes me sad, for a variety of reasons

realism (i dont think there is anything i hate more than colossal inflated egos)
some interest in music (enough to come to gigs with me)
some patience
and i still dont know why i like the way certain girls look, but its never quite seemed to line up with other people's opinions

Looks are one of the things I find least important in a girl. In descending order of importance:
Intelligence
Resilient, none of that 'eek a mouse' type of stuff, more of a 'knows what she's doing' but not insanely strict.
Athleticism and high metabolism a plus (trying to offset some poor genes in my genome ;))

I am yet to understand how people find others 'cute' or 'attractive' in such a way. A person is cute if they remind me of a puppy, or attractive if they remind me of a cat. Simple.

But for human beings in general I like someone who has emotions, complications, opinions on life and so forth.

I'm a guy.
Good looks are nice to see in a girl. However, good looks by themselves are simply not enough to win my attentions. I don't really have any racial preferences towards girls, either.

Ideally, she would:

-Be intelligent (again, I am not interested in a vase with empty space - my gal has to have some brains.)

-At least somewhat nerdy (because I am also nerdy. I love video games/anime/cartoons/manga/American superhero comics, but I am also prone to intellectual & philosophical thought/conversation.)

-Fairly low-maintenance (I'm not a sugar-daddy, and I don't want a sugar-momma. I just want someone I can chill with and have fun with.)

And most importantly of all, she would:

-Accept me for who I am. (because I would do the same for her. (I would maybe introduce her to my interests and whatnot, but I would never actually attempt to change how she is as a person.) And any girl who tries to change me is simply not worth the effort of a relationship, IMO. Acceptance is a big part of the package for me.)

nice eyes, good sense of humour, taller than me/same height, long hair is nice unsless short hair suits him, skinny, not a "cool dude", someone who thinks for them selves and isn't a sheep, not chavvy

In female

Awesome hair is usually what I consider attractive. The bigger the better. Also colour isn't sooooo important, but crazy colours like pink or blue are just sexy :P Honestly, if the hair is good enough everything else can be acceptable.

Big eyes, any colour. My eyes are small-ish so I go for the Big-eyes Small-eyes thing.

Thin, but not skeletal. I'm dangerously thin myself, although I wouldn't consider myself skeletal. Big tits are cool, but not necessary. More of a bonus.

Oh, also I assume I'd find a personality similar to mine sexy, I just have to meet anyone like that... of either sex :?

I don't have much of an opinion on this matter.
I suppose a boy is attractive if he is clean cut, doesn't have a sickly appearance, and looks somehow nerdy.
