I had a Birman and a Burmilla cat.I'm too lazy and busy to take good care of them so my aunt gave them away..

I have five cats, and one recently had two kittens! :D I'm hoping we can keep at least one.

We have 2 cats, Bilbo (3) and Pippin (2). Bilbo is wary of people at first, prefers to spend a lot of time alone, likes to explore. Pippin is best friend to everybody, bouncy, needs constant attention :D Bilbo is a black persian-cross, and Pippin is persian. Having the cats have helped me as I spend a lot of time alone and they are nice to hug when I am feeling down 8)

Cats are my favourite animals and I consider my cat to be my best friend. I think it's nice to have a non-human animal as a companion because the level of communication between us is much more basic and non-verbal so there is no opportunity for any awkward situations to arise and therefore no stress. :) Plus, my cat seems to be able to tell when a person is upset because she always comforts them by sitting nearby and letting them stroke her, even if she wouldn't otherwise be in the mood for attention (when she isn't she tends to get a bit snappy and sometimes grabs the offending hand with her claws and won't let it go until she is absolutely sure it has learned its lesson). Cats were probably my first full-blown obsession as well. I used to read all about cat breeds and cat behaviour and my school friends got the impression that I was an expert because I talked about cats on a daily basis. The only time in my life when I didn't have a cat was for several months between the time my previous cat died unexpectedly at just under 14 months of age and the time we bought my current cat. It was actually during that time that my cat obsession peaked so maybe I was compensating for the empty space in the house that a cat was supposed to occupy.
