I'm not proud, as I don't like that word, but I am happy with it.

I am :)

I wouldn't say proud, but I have come to accept it.

Yes would be an understatement.

I'm proud to be special, who would want to be normal?

I'm proud of who I am. Aspergers may be a "disability" but in many ways it has assisted me during my lifetime. It may have its downs, but it certainly makes up for it when I'm making beautiful music and sounds.

Hell NO.
How can I be proud of a mental disease/disability that troubles in my life? I hate my AS with every bit of my life. AS is what makes me the weird, shy, and hard to socialize guy that I am, and I cant count the problems I have because of my AS. Sure there are the pros of having AS, but all these troubles far outweigh it.

No...why would I let AS define me?
But I am proud of my personal achievements.

I am not proud of my AS, but I am proud of my special interests and the time I devote to them. I am proud of the fact that I can accomplish in little time that which would take much more for the unfocused neurotypical, but not the AS itself. Why should anyone be proud of something one cannot change?

It is what it is and I am what I am. It just is, and it satisfies me. Proud? Not particularly, but I'm quite harsh on myself. Ashamed? No. I know who I am and accept it, although I'm somewhat critical. It is a large part of me so it's not worth hating myself for it, but rather I try to make the best of it.

I wouldn't give up having Asperger's for anything in the world. It makes up who I am and has helped me in numerous ways.

Without AS I probably wouldn't have my passions for some of my favourite things in life. How could I not be proud?

Beautiful? You call pessimism/depression and blaming all your problems on something beautiful? WTF?
