Random question: how many books (reading/reference books, not exercise books) do you have in your school bag?

I have eight:

- Italian-English dictionary
- World Atlas
- 1984 by George Orwell (been meaning to re-read it, but I've been too busy)
- Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte (for English class)
- Framed by Frank Cottrell Boyce (I randomly started reading it when I had nothing to read, only now I have too many books to read, LOL)
- Flightsend by Linda Newbery (for book club)
- Black Rabbit Summer by Kevin Brooks (also for book club)
- Sashenka by Simon Montefiore (that I just bought from Amazon)

I have WAY too many books, am I the only one who carries too many, LOL?

I can't fit that many in my school bag, since I take all of my exercise and text books to school each day regardless of whether I have that lesson that day or not.

I only have Brighton Rock by Graham Greene in my school bag right now.

But next year I won't be doing as many subjects so I'll have more space for books!

^^Yaaaaye, I believe I enjoyed bringing a large number of my happy bookies to school with me. However I am very sorry as these did not often consist of reading books, yet all of my school exercise books. I was very frightened that I would forget one I required or if I found I needed to happily use one during the day. I am very sorry as I often could not find time to happily read during school (before the Sixth Form) and when within the happy Sixth Form I often worked during my free lessons, or if there was time I sat at a table at which the students enjoyed playing cards or Mario Kart for the DS, and they often allowed me to play with them. However, I happily occasionally asked some of me Manga books to come with me. I believe a happy reason that I did not bring novels was due to the fact that I find great difficulty in reading novels only for a small amount of time (although I believe I am now happily gaining this ability). Although for GCSE studies I carried the necessary books I believe.

I feel very evil as I believe I ended the life of two of my bags due to carrying so many of my school books with me each day (exercise books and text books).

I don't take any  but when I needed to I used to take 5 or 6.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you take a world atlas?

Cos I'm obsessed with countries, so I use it quite a lot. Once I forgot to take it with me to my dad's house one weekend, and I found I needed it at least twice in as many days.

Unsurprisingly you got them all right :D

Do you know what the capital of Mongolia is? Because that's another country that I wish I knew the capital of.

Another thing that fascinates me is what timezones countries are in, I know pretty much the whole world in terms of timezones, does this interest you to Gina?

Ulan Bator.

I don't know much about timezones, actually.

Gina, you live in England which is 7 hours behind where I live due to daylight saving time (without daylight saving it would be eight hours). England shares the same time as France. Sweden is an hour ahead of England. Where I live, I share the same timezone as beijing, but the other side of the country is 2 hours ahead. In a months time I'll be flying from Perth airport to heathrow airport, the journey will be around 19 hours but due to timezone changing I'll arrive in london 14 and a half hours after leaving.

Aren't timezones fun?

Are we counting notebooks that aren't directly related to school?

Because I currently have my diary to plan out all my dates and events, three notebooks of revision notes and a notebook for my own personal use too.

Timezones are very fun and fascinating.

Hate to nit pick but England and France are NOT in the same time zone. France is an hour ahead of England (2 hours ahead of GMT currently) as is Sweden (as you correctly stated).

Portugal is in the same time zone as England though (but not the Azores, they're an hour behind).

The weirdest time zone belongs to Nepal, they are +5hr 45 mins of GMT (and 15 mins ahead of India) that's rather weird.

I kept most of my books in my locker at school and only had a 1000+ page plus novel in my school-bag. Plus lunch, etc etc.

France is ahead of England.. fo real? Wow, I really should have known that, being English... and since I've been to France more times than I'd like to remember.
Shameful :(

But wow, you sound like you really know timezones.
