My favorite pet is my do Gary who I rescued from a puppy store where he was kept for 5 months. My sister named him after gary from spongebob. I treated him like everybody else in my family did but somehow, he chose me as his person. He has extreme stress issues like I do so we are perfect together and he follows me around like the daemons in the His Dark Materials Trilogy(Golden Compass) follow their companions. He sleeps as long as i sleep(10-12 hours during the summer, 8-4 hours during school year due to homework). He only poops and pees if i or someone lets him out and he can hold it for hours. He's an unusually tall(parson russel terrier) phalene(droopy eared) papillon who was never bought becauese he doesn't look like a purebread papillon. I talk to him when I have problems and he's a real stress reliever. He's like a living teddy bear, he's gentle and really soft.

That they do. I think of my dog as an extension of my soul, a dog version of me cuz we're alike. He is shy with humans and doesn't really liked to be picked up and he cries a lot because of his stress issues. I calm him down as he does me. I never read his dark materials but i saw the movie and my photographic memory of unimportant things made me recall the plot even if i haven't seen it in years.
