I don't think alcohol is a good thing. I've said many times to my parents that I'm never going to drink it.

So anyone agree with me (although they probably won't)

I don't drink, I have done before, but even then it was rare. I have no problem with other people drinking alcohol though. As long as it is in moderation. The only thing that really bothers me about alcohol is idiots drinking it and then endind up in A&E at 2am on a Saturday night. It also worries me when people use it to help with depression.

My only experience with alcohol is wine at Communion.

I already did the whole get drunk and party thing.

To be honest alcohol does help me in social situations I just wish it would go away faster. When I was drinking I usually got halfway through the night and want to be sober, but knew that was hours away.

I used to drink (not much) on weekends, of course it made me more relaxed and more open to other people but it also gave me problems (bad sleep, headache...). I stopped drinking on weekly basis 2 years ago, now I only drink occasionally (very little).

I don't drink because even though I have only had very small amounts of alcohol in the past, and only on a few occasions (and that was because of family pressure, not by my choice) it made me ill.

I don't drink now because of this and also because I am on a lot of meds.

I don't like alcohol because it has a negative effect on people's behaviour and I have been bullied and treated badly by people who are drunk. I'd really like to ban the stuff.

I like a good beer, once in a while. I try to stay away from spirits, though.

I find it boring and the people who use it boring. It's embarassing that people need this senseless social ritual to connect with other people, and worse yet that they brag about using it like it's an accomplishment. Like I said, boring.

its kinda odd that this came up i was wondering about why i drink this morning

basically what your doing is poisoning yourself ... i consider it like those watches in hitch hikers guide to the galaxy that break you leg or something to make stuff more exiting, im shortening my lifespan but hell, ill worry about living longer when it seems like a good ida

i dont drink to connect with people i drink so i care less that i cant

it really shouldn't be suck a huge part of society but theres not much to be done about it

i should stop posting on topics when i dont know what im saying

I've tasted alcohol... and it's VERY bitter and disgusting in my opinion... and if I ever DO drink, I'll drink those 0.1% panaceas.

Besides I don't want to damage my liver.
