I was browsing through photos of me in lower school (elementary school/primary) and found this:

(I blurred my classmate's faces.)
I think this accurately summarizes life back then, if anyone knows what I mean? I'm standing there like they don't even exist...
Anything this photo brings to mind?

That's a cute picture! It brings to mind times when kids dressed like kids... So cute! I wonder what those other girls are laughing about? It looks like you are focused on something else.
It brings to mind schools that graduate their kids in fourth grade instead of fifth. You said that and i started thinking about how your school system works. so how does it work? 8O :)
I mean, that was pretty much me. Oblivious to everything else except my special interest, or whatever was on my mind at the time. Still relevant now.

You look adorable on the picture. : 3

A lot of my pictures are like that as well. I posted a picture on another thread from my school trip when I was 10 and it was similar to yours, all the other girls were smiling at the camera and I was looking away and not really bothering.

I've got a picture from 2 years ago from when I went to a trip with guides, I was smiling at the camera and all that but I was the only one who wasn't putting my arms around anyone, my friends for that week were all in the chain and I stood well away. I didn't really want to put my arms aroud them.

Mine was private, so "lower school" (elementary school) was K-4, middle school was 5-8, and "upper school" (high school) was 9-12

I thought that might resemble someone else, it's a bit odd to look back at old pics and see how very out of place I look.

I feel like that very often.

I'm the one at the far end.

I only became obvious when they needed someone to lean on.

Hands in pockets means that you are comfortable.
I've learned that recently.

See, I was right, I thought others might have photos like mine. :)

I found more pics of me staring off into the distance when everyone else is interacting. Seems to be an average of at least one per school function.
