Honestly you should not be smoking that stuff at this point in your life because it tends to make teenagers apathetic at a time when you really need to be preparing to live as an adult and working towards what you want to be in life.

i actually started taking more responsibility for my life after i started smoking hell i would have probably committed suicide by now if it weren't for smoking and being able to see the cold irony of life that made me realize suicide is pointless so in a way it saved my life i mean at the time i had NO ONE i was the lowest of the low crying myself to sleep every night it was quite pathetic tbh and i had a huge hatred for the world, for humanity, i just wanted to end it so after 2 years of researching the subject i decided to try pot in 8th grade and it changed my life for the better the ONLY negative is getting in trouble but i can deal with that

You shouldn't be relying on pot to get through the day. My days are very hell-ish indeed, and I managed to stay away from it. There are better ways to deal with the everyday world than smoking pot.

i understand and respect your opinion and your concern is noted, and i agree there are other ways however in my experience life was too hellish for me before i started i hated myself, i hated the world, and i hated everyone in it i was full of a lot of hatred and anger to the world because how unfairly i was treated and after i started it showed me the world in a different way, all those seemingly monumental problems became insignificant and pointless to worry about. i gained confidence i never even knew was possible for a loser like me. both times i ever kissed a girl pot wasn't directly involved in but indirectly by putting me in that situation and having the confidence to go through with it. now i know it's not for everyone and if it's not for you good for you, it is for me so good for me either way im pretty neutral these days and while i am far from perfect i love myself a lot more now, and while im still constantly depressed its not life consuming depression anymore like it used to be. and i haven't used it every day in over a year usually only once every few weeks or so. all it really does for me is increase my quality of life enough to make life bearable. i am not a happy person i never have been, my peers made sure of that, but at least when im high i look and feel happy and that happiness lingers, it means for the next 1-2 weeks later i wake up with a smile instead of wishing i was someone else someone happier somewhere else.

Interesting you should mention that Makayla. I had a problem, really big one.... Let's just say that if my friend wasn't at Richmond, you'd be reading a post from a red blob at Richmond station in Sydney

Definitely agreed.

Smoking - whatever you want - is not the best way to feel more confident or more responsible. Actually it's the worst way, since you are becoming addict. And this is not a positive thing. It may seem at the beginning, but it's not. If you think that enslaving yourself is good for you, then maybe you have to reconsider.
First, smoke - of any sort - is not something to be inhaled. It provokes severe damages to the human body, be it to the lungs or even to the brain. And you'll not see this after smoking for one, two or three years, because it's a long-term consequence. When you realise it, then your brain will be so messed up that you'll be even worse than before you started smoking. I'm not inventing it. I know people who experienced it. I read many real stories about it, and if you search you'll find them, too.

If your life was or is that bad it's up to you to make it better - to you, not to pot, to cigarettes, alcohol, or anything else. My life wasn't that easy, too. I did consider suiciding when I was still very young, after my father was arrested for trying to rob a bank, and after many other things. But I never needed any pot to 'save' me. What did I do? I decided to make my life better. We Aspies are intelligent enough to do that. I graduated in an area in which I was interested. After that I got a job in this area. And here I am. I can't say that my life is perfect and that I don't have any difficulties now. But I do say that it's at least comfortable and I can even say that I'm happy. I'm not different from you. I'm not different from all other people who post here. Of course, some may have more or less difficulties, but the fact is that we can do this ourselves.

What you`re actually saying is that life became to hard for you so you resorted to pot instead of trying to fix your life? One of the worst possible solutions in my opinion. It can really screw you over later in life.

You should be grounded.

I'm grounded for staying up too late.

your acting like its impossible to smoke pot and be successful in life quite the contrary, if you do anything that consumes your life and controls you than you need to reconsider why you do it, thats why i dont do heroin or coke because they would control me not the other way around. well originally i wanted to be a politician but after Obama got in office i figured America wouldnt last long enough for me to get into politics so then i wanted science and now im debating over whether to pursue a career in science or politics. if your gonna argue you cant smoke pot and be a politician, look at former wrestler and former Mayor of Brooklyn Park(1991-1995) and former Governor of Minnesota(1999-2003) who, if Ron Paul ran an independent, was also considering running with Ron Paul for the upcoming elections, Jesse Ventura, he has always been open about his marijuana use and his values and actions have ALWAYS reflected America's best interest, or look at NORML hell a politician up in Canada named Dana Larson, he authored a parody book called harry Pothead and the Marijuana Stone. my only concern in the political field is my lack of self confidence but that will subside hell i already made a lot of progress with it over the past few years due to the assistance of close friends who understood im autistic and different and accepted me anyway they really helped a lot i hardly ever relapse anymore. im intending to go to college and either major in Political Science or Biology(Synthetic Biology) i still have time to decide.

you have obviously not done your homework, its not addictive well not physically addictive anyway but anything is psychologically addictive are you aware that chocolate is a drug and releases endorphines into the brain and not only is a pain reliever but also is an aphrodisiac due to the feel good response your body receives? it does not damage the brain the study you are referring to is the famous rhesus monkeys test funded by Nixon in the mid-70 where they strapped gas masks to monkeys and suffocated them with pot and after they died counted the brain cells, they died of lack of oxygen and you start losing brain cells after 4 minutes without oxygen

it does not control my life, i hardly ever smoke anyway only once every few weeks or so, if your doing something that controls your life than you gotta think about why you doing it to begin with. i never try anything without adequate research to go into it prepared thats why i will never do heroin, coke, or meth i have personally seen its effects in some of my moms old students from when she was in charge of my towns Gang Risk Intervention Program(GRIP) and Violence Intervention Program(VIP) so before you spew your misinformed propaganda at me do your homework

There are still better ways to cope with life. I'm not going to even attempt to control your life, and none of us are doing that either. All of us are expressing concerned criticism. Do what works best for you, but keep in mind that cannabis is not harmless, even if you smoke it infrequently.
