I have noticed that there less female teenagers on here than adult females, why is this? It's about 40% females and 60% males, (sorry, I am not good at math) on here with adults, but like 20% females and 80% males with teenagers, why is this?

I get the impression that there are less younger people on here in general, though perhaps I am biased since I don't feel I fit in with people my age much.

From what I've heard, there are 8X more males than females on this site.
I don't know too much about teenagers, doesn't seem like there are too many around here.

It's hard to tell the exact percentages, but I have noticed that there are a bit more young males than young females on this site. It also depends on if you're considering active members, inactive members, or both.

Also, keep in mind that some people put a gender different from their own and not everyone includes their age.

probably because it's harder to detect it in girls than boys, so when a young boy is acting "different" he may get his diagnosis at a young age, where as a girl is less likely to. And unless they find out about ASD on their own, they will go through life until adulthood just thinking they are different.

They will be more worried about trying to fit in than trying to figure out what is wrong, so that is left until adulthood.

At least, that's what I think... I think it makes sense.
