I have known about the autism quotient test for a while.... (I'm almost certain I have mild aspergers) and my scores have ranged from 36 to 41. Recently a friend discovered it (He's NT, his brother is my best friend and he has AS) anyway, the friend who found it scored 11, the AS friend (more severe than me, diagnosed) got 31. Two other friends, both diagnosed with AS got 27. But so they are now all saying that I'm ret*d.... I don't call anyone with AS ret*d, and I admit it the NT friend who is calling me it. Though it is quite surprising that I'm very mild, yet my scores are alot higher than those with it:s
So now the NT friends are going to be calling me a ret*d for a while..... great! On the up-side I get to hit them>:) that may sound mean, but both deserve it, and I'v been a pacifist for years... the are two that both need a good punch or two... On a related topic, the autism quotient test seems to focus mainly on social issues of aspergers, and very little else...

Consistently scored 43-44 on that particular test for years; the scores don't necesarily indicate severity, and they aren't absolute diagnostic tools - they are part of the process. You're not deficient just because you're different.

I got 46 when I did that last night. That probably has a lot to do with the fact that I'm a hate filled nihilistic old bastard though.

Honestly, that test seems to test more for nerdiness and introvertness than it does autism. I hate that quiz.

I noticed too that the test seems to focus only on the social and obsessive aspects of aspergers....

First of all, I believe that most diagnoses for young children are inaccurate and I do believe that this does not accurately test for asperger's syndrome. I scored a 39 and I had believed I was getting better. Oh well.

I do believe there is a strong bias towards introverts, however, I don't really see how you can get a more accurate test for something like AS or Autism without having a real-life evaluation.

I get 41 each time I take it.

True enough.

What does imperious mean?

I got a 32, but it does not seem very accurate because on most of the questions I was thinking "um....how am i supposed to know?" And just guessed. It would be easier if there was a just a "agree" or "disagree"

I got a score of 28.
That test wasn't very good. Then again I only do them for fun as they're not something you should take too seriously.

If he's calling you ret*d then he's obviously not a real friend. He's just ignorant. Enlighten him that AS does not mean retardation. True it does mean you are lacking in some ares but you are enhanced in others. It's a balance
