Maybe a 7, I'm pretty high functioning but not high enough to live on my own or drive a car.

I give myself a nine. If it weren't for my stress and anxiety, I'd be a ten.

Well I've been called normal before, but there are some things that I do that are really quite weird, so I'd have to go with a 9.

What does this even mean? How well I'm able to get along in polite society (my euphemism for the NT world)? Or how much of a freaky genius I think I am? Or something else entirely?

I think this question is highly subjective. Id assume most people would rate their AS functioning as pretty high. I personally pick 9 because I go to college out of state. Im very responsible and I take care of myself. In the functioning areas, Im pretty much comparable to an NT. In the social aspects things are a bit different however.

I'm not actually sure what would be high-functioning and what wouldn't be. I voted 3, just because I'm pretty sure I have severe Asperger's. Do any users want to share what they call "mild" or "severe?"

Oops, I didn't notice this was the Adolescent forum--I came in via the post scroll on the right hand side of the screen. Subtract a "10" from the results.

Going with a nine as well, I can come across as "normal," but I've got quite a few quirks.

Minus the part about college, this is practically my experience too.

HFAS: Can live without special interests, can be with a group for an extended period of time without or with nominal risk of a meltdown, can carry on a normal conversation

LFAS: Severe risk of meltdown when outside of comfort zone or with large amounts of people, constant focus on special interests, ignores menial tasks as "useless" (note: just thinking tasks are useless does not apply in this definition, just ignoring/not doing them because of the belief they are useless)

That's pretty much the best I can come up with.

I rated myself an "8". I probably wouldn't know just how high-functioning I can be, because I still live with my parents, but there are some things I can't do without some degree of assistance.

I find this very helpful. Given these definitions, I am not as "high functioning" as I thought I was. Definitely something less than a "perfect 10."

I'm probably close to MFAS, because I don't have meltdowns as much, and I don't constantly focus on my special interest. I can be outside my comfort zone if coaxed, but I haven't gotten talking to others down yet, so...I'm giving myself as five or four.

Gave myself an 8. I'm intelligent, eloquent and not bad to look at. I'm really funny around my friends. But I have an extreme fear of socializing with people. If no one approaches me, I won't even greet strangers properly And, of course, there is that old fear of attractive women.
Also, sometimes my social anxiety leaves me really depressed. I've been improving in the last few months, but I'm certain it'll take me a few years to be completely high-functioning.

I gave myself a 9. I'm not self-glorified enough to give myself a 10 XD. I'm HFAS I know two friends who are aspie I'd say my score is accurate because I can compare my intelligence to them (I know another who I'm 100% sure has AS but how do I tell them?) PM me if you can help.
