I believe it's a jab at how "MySpace" has had several instances of people meeting outside of the internet, and having not-so-good relations, rape being one of the cases....

However, I do have facebook. It has far more mature discussion than MySpace.

I'm antisocial, so social sites are of no use to me.

I've looked at stuff on myspace (someone used my machine and she didn't realize I had a key logger installed in it, and did a lousy job of cleaning up after herself......and I don't think I want to be involved with the people who use those sites. Most of it is personal porn anyway. Hey, what the hell. Weird. At least here, we don't allow people to post stuff like that.

People are sometimes antisocial but in reality we have to be social in the end to make a living sometimes.

Paradox isn't it?

I view it as the easiest way of being "social." In reality, it is of little comparison to true social activity. In face-to-face situations, you have to think on your feet. What will I say next? How will I say it? Etc. I'm pretty bad with things like that. I've gotten better, but I'll never reach a level that is considered truly acceptable. Therefore, I can go to "social" networking websites and instead think about what I'm going to say, how I'm going to say it, etc.

Another crucial thing for me is all of the debate that goes on, particularly over politics, given the fact that the USA's presidential election is looming over the horizon. I love learning from (and hopefully educating) others by meaningful discourse.

I made a facebook account, but I hardly go there, I don't see any point of it. I really don't know what to do with it.
