why 65mph?

whenever im going back up to tucson with my sister she will have driev whenever she is tired. once i drive i stay near the speed limit and keep my imagination on the road rather than in my head so i wont get into a accident. like it the speed limit is 75mph i would stay between 70-75mph. and if the speed limit becomes 65 then i would stay at 60-65mph.

my sister does not agree with this. she wants me to drive at 65 or treat me like a child by removing the music (that i use to keep my imagination on the road) and on top of that also scold me like a child or a sped. it really gets on my nerves. idk if its to save gas or because im not very trusted at driving. i do my best to drive well and keep my mind on the road. intensivley.

however if my sister scolds me then i end up getting angry where i start to shutdown. i do all i can to avoid it. usually ill just kill the music if the shutdowns get any worse.

i tried asking my sister why but all she will say is "because i want you to"

can anyone tell me why the hell i have to drive at a stinking 65mph when the speed limit is 75mph? its really bothering me.

depends on what your driving but it might be to save fuel. i drive a fuel injected '92 firebird (damn sexy car) with a 3.1 V6 and an auto tranny. i get by far the best fuel mileage if i keep it locked on 55 mph. what car, engine, and tranny are you drivin?

I take it you're driving her car? If so, I think maybe she gets the right to tell you how to drive. Otherwise, she needs to go to sleep if she's that tired.

Driving 10 mph below the speed limit on a highway is very dangerous, especially in moderate to heavy traffic when everyone else is going the speed limit.

You are liable to get hit from behind by someone who isn't paying attention.

There's nothing wrong with driving the speed limit. Some people are just absolute idiots. Your sister is one of them.
