Executive Function Issues.... how to resolve?
I have issues starting a lot of things and issues finishing them too. Homework. Personal projects. Anything. I'll just never get to the point where it is deep enough to be finished. My homework will be 'done' but not really 'finished'. I'll start my homework so that I have all of two hours to do something that was supposed to take seven. I still get all A's, but I could get all A+'s if I didn't have these issues. I think that it also hinders me in that I am a perfectionist, so fear of failing gets me BIG TIME. I can't say it's my ADD or AS that's messing me up because I have no diagnosis of either. I want to try to get one but I don't know where to start I don't want to talk to my parents because they think I am oversensitive.
Also don't respond by asking why I think I have it my brain perceives that as pressure and thus goes AWOL. As in I can't remember why. And then later I realize that that's probably a reason.

First, get a grip on yourself and face this key fact: Nothing and no one is perfect, so stop beating yourself up over this, and stop trying to achieve the impossible. Trying to do so leads to stress, illness, and madness, so LET IT GO. Just do your REASONABLE personal best and move on to the next thing.
I do understand the problems you are having with EFT, though. I've had it all my life, and now it is made worse by my other health issues. Those leave me tired, drained of mental and physical energy, and they take up time that could have been used for doing needed tasks, which were already hard enough for me to focus on doing before the health problems. I have no magic solution to the EFT problem. The best I can muster is this.--:wall:
There's a lot of overlap between ADD and AS. The majority of people diagnosed with AS would probably also meet the criteria for mild (or even more severe) ADHD, and executive function problems are considered to be core issues for both conditions.
You can do some tests - the ones listed in {this thread here} - to confirm whether you are likely to have AS. No tests will actually give you a diagnosis - they only cover a part of the issues that make up AS - but they are a good indicator of whether your impression that you have AS is realistic. The AQ Test, for example, covers executive function as one of the 5 major characteristics of people with AS and high functioning autism.
Why do you think you have it? lol jk
I can relate to you on the whole not knowing thing... It almost drove me insane about a year ago, and still does time to time if I start over analysing myself.
Why not try doing some research?
From what I know, one of the biggest things that splits them down the middle is interests. People with ADD don't focus on any one area of interest and often have trouble staying interested, whereas someone with AS has a set interest that they could tell you everything about.
I have ADD and I can tell you one thing, distraction is the worst. I can't even tell you how many times I've zoned out into thought just typing this post. In a way, it's like being there, but not being there at the same time, and no matter how hard you try to pay attention your mind just wanders without you realizing...
Anyways, your best bet would be to go to a school counselor and bring the subject up to them. They should be able to find you options for getting diagnosed.
I wish you the best!

I'm home schooled, first off.
second off, if I'm I interested in something, my mom has to tell me 'I don't want you doing [whatever my interest is] until you are done with school. I think partly my EF issues stem from this. I don't like to stop looking into something until I know it.
Hmmmm.... That doesn't sound like ADD, but I'm no expert.
When I was younger and would do my homework I would drift off in daydream and look like the "Thinking Man" lol. I would rarely ever think about things that interested me unless they caught my attention somehow. Like walking by them and noticing them. Even if they did though I would lose my attention really easy and become bored :/
Do you have a doctor you see regularly???
