So, anyone else tired of all this talk of ones peers being "sheep","like insects", "worthy of extermination", this kind of talk? I'm talking about people on here say other teenagers are sub-brick in terms of intelligence. The whole thing is annoying because it's just not true! And just to be clear here, I'm not saying that teens can't be idiots, and don't make awful decisions, and never are cruel or judgmental. I just want and end to this dehumanization and feelings of superiority! So many posts of "If I could, I would wipe them all out because they all sure deserve it! There can't be any redeeming qualities here!"

unfortunately, the currency of american public discourse seems to be mutual calumny. each side condemns the other to the depths of hell, each side demonizes the other and totally discounts any attribution of humanity to the other side. i don't know the solution to this, other than the almighty coming down here on a lightning bolt, fit to be tied, and knocking the wrongdoers' heads together and screaming "BEHAVE OR ELSE!! !" one can dream, in any case.

Hahaha now that would be quite a sight, and would probably have pretty far reaching ripples through society if one side didn't accuse the other of faking it somehow, but you're right, one can dream.

I agree that there are a lot of posts where people on here say that they would wipe everyone off the face of the earth, or have said that the world wouldnt be able to survive without them, and you know this really bugs me a lot because in reality we are all equal, the thing is our peers just arent as mature as us, and it will take them a lot longer to reach our maturity level. But i sometimes wonder about peoples logic, they think their peers are immature, yet like you said their saying things like"I would wipe them off the face of the earth" or"Their all just bricks, sheep in a sheepen" and stuff like that. whenever i hear stuff like that i just picture a child throwing a temper tantrum.

Yeah, I guess in some ways we're not. But it always kinda gets me down when I hear something like that, I mean we're supposed to be better than that I thought.

Yeah, people tend to blame their problems on other people, it's easier but it's also lazy. I'm with you Gin, I just wish people would wise up and realize that everyone is equal. Granted I get upset when there are irritating teenagers like the ones in the classroom that fool around and won't shut up when their supposed to. I want to know why everyone can't just tolerate and accept others opinions without thinking it's some sort of challenge of control.
For Example:
Person A: "I'm Mormon"
Person B: "I'm Atheist"
Both: "Awesome! Lets hang out!"
They respected each other, and honestly why get sore over it anyways?

Unlike Society

Person A: "I'm Mormon"
Person B: "I'm Atheist"
Person A: "How dare you stand before me with all your bullshitedness."
Person B: "At least I don't have a million wives you b***h."
Person A: "No you! I'm not that kind of Mo"-Person B: "If you stacked up all your wives you could make a staircase to heaven."
Both: "That's it! You're religion sucks, I'm going to build an army and roast your ass!"
Big surprise, Society started WW3.
