I am going to be tested for aspergers soon. About a year ago I thought I might be an aspie but didn't tell my mom just a close friend. Now this year by chance my psychiatrist and my mom want me to get tested. That along with that I match a lot of the symptoms I am pretty sure I have it. I also Have been diagnosed with ADD and am "gifted".

So I was wondering what strategies would be helpful/you use to do school work. I failed the first semester of college.
If I am reading a book I like that will be all I do, same with video games. If I don't want to do something it is really hard for me to force myself to do it.

Caffeine helps to a point, but the problem is, it won't always help. Or sometimes, you'll start a side project with caffeine that'll take like 8 hours and forget your original project, as you feel like you can do anything ever. As far as recommendations, eventually you just learn to do stuff because you're afraid of the consequences of not doing it.

If you want better mental clarity and focus without caffeine, take a good multivitamin, extra B vitamins, fish oil, and get as much sleep as you can, then only use caffeine as needed when those things aren't enough.
