Does anyone else here go to church or religious organizations for the socialization opportunities?
BTW this is strictly for teens, so I'm not really trying to talk about religion anyways.

And would it be weird if I just started going now?

I moved schools in the middle of last year.

It was extremely awkward and I had to take heavy medication for my depression, even though I learned a lot more of the social stuff and what people mean and stuff.

I also failed all my classes last year, skipping and stuff.

So would people make fun of me if I start going now ,because they kinda know me as the loner guy?

one of the main purposes of church is socialization. hopefully, you will be made welcome. don't be surprised, however, if they try to convert you.

As a teenager, I always hated going to church. The kids were meaner there than outside of church.

I go to church to pray. I don't talk to anybody.

I did that during my first semester of college, but then... errm... complications came up, and well, let's just say things didn't work out.

I would say that they are a good place for socialization and a great place to learn life lessons, but you also must make sure that you can live comfortably as a Christian would, which is easier said than done.
