How can I stop being impulsive? I always make the wrong choices: quit college when I was stressed, and signed up for a study that's nothing for me - WHAT WAS I THINKING? I can't be a teacher? I can't even talk to people? I had the idea of buying a pet and bought one the same day. One day I spent ALL the money I had on eBay - sometimes I spend a lot of money to go binge eating. I also switch from obsession to obsession in a short amount of time.
I'm scared cause I've got serious mood swings and I feel even worse afterwards. I sometimes think these things I do without thinking will affect my future. :?

Are there other people who have the same problem?

I have times where I'm exceptionally impulsive, in which I do things I usually regret. Other times I'm the complete opposite, when I'm extremely cautious and don't want to do anything because I'm scared it's the wrong choice.

I don't have that issue but I used to. You can condition yourself to think and do a basic analysis before you act.

There have been times when I had some spending money that I spent it without thinking, then wished I had thought more about it. I still live at home and have relied on parents for money. In the past week though I took a job on a trial basis. I'll see how that goes. I try to think things through. I'm currently giving serious thought about a tattoo I'm wanting to get. I want to make sure it's what I want. I've been thinking about it for some time now, and now that I'm 18 I feel confident it is right. I don't feel that's impulse.
