How on earth do they follow fads such as pop clearly using metaphors to hide their true, more adult meaning and WHY DO THEY THINK SKELETON WOMEN ARE ATTRACTIVE. Women at a normal weight who are confident of their beauty because they know that they and the rest of womankind don't need makeup to look good?

Please explain how NTs can be like this?

^^ Greetings kill231. I am very sorry if you are feeling upset. I do believe that not all neurotypical humans may not be as you have described and similarly, there may be many neurodiverse humans for whom your statement does apply.

^^ I believe that such individuals may behave in this way due to a number of possible reasons, however I cannot be certain of all of these reasons as, indeed, I am not all of these individuals.

1) Such individuals may indeed find this type of body attractive. Indeed, I believe that beauty is subjective.
2) Social instinct - they may feel pressured to do so by other humans. Initially this fad may have come about due to disdain towards those who are overweight (which many humans consider in a negative manner as they may that this is due to greed and other negative traits).

I personally feel that humans do not require to attempt to "look good" simply to avoid attracting negativity towards themselves due to their appearance. ^^ However, this indeed nice for individuals if they enjoy wearing make up and other items simply because they enjoy this and not because they feel pressured.

I worry greatly concerning fashion program including "How to Look Good Naked" and "What not to Wear" etc. I believe that within these programs, the hosts wish to make individuals feel happy by providing fashionable items for them to wear. However I worry that the ultimate result is quite a paradox, since such programs reinforce to those watching that in order to feel happy, they must dress in a fashionable manner, which therefore causes them to worry about this and constantly pursue this ideal. However, if instead the programs taught the individuals not to worry of the opinions of others, and to be happy without purchasing fashionable items, I believe that this perhaps increase the happiness of these in a much greater way.

I am very sorry if this is horrible of me. I would be very happy to edit this post if this is horrible of me.

You can edit if you want to.
some people are very shallow and think fat is the worst you can be? Isn't boring, vindictive, cruel or shallow worse than fat?

^^ Greetings again kill231. I personally do not believe that being overweight is a negative aspect of a personality, however I do believe that many humans make fun of those who are overweight and this is not nice of those who make fun of such individuals. I am very sorry for not typing a very clear message,

I understand the post. Being overweight isn't bad but many people make fun of overweight people which isn't very nice. Right?
Also I feel that the media and governments never tell us the full story.

No one should ever make fun of or humiliate a person because of that weight, they should accept you for what you are but with that said:

Being overweight is pretty bad for you, like smoking and its a preventable problem that plagues more than half of the United States. In this aspect, being overweight is bad, but many people choose to smoke and do other "bad" things and its their choice, but hopefully they know the consequences. Attraction varies from person to person, granted there's a tend toward preferring skinnier/slim people physically. Centuries ago I think overweight people were considered attractive because it was a sign of status, eg; having enough money to afford food while the working caste starved to death. Of course now with so many advances in science we know how unhealthy a number of things are that were the norm for many years, like tobacco etc. On the opposite side of the spectrum, advances in science have caused a rise in obesity due to more preservatives, chemicals and stuff like high fructose corn syrup. This allows a bigger distribution of cheaper, mass processed foods for people who don't have much money since its always a little more expensive (but not by a whole lot) to get raw meat, cabbage etc. Also it takes time to cook and prepare food while you can just pop in a tv dinner or maybe order some pizza or get fast food.

People with more money have a broader range of options when it comes to appearance, though that's not to say all celebrities are skinny skeletons and that the poor to middle class can't be healthy or skinny either. If a rich person gains weight he or she can spend thousands of dollars on a highly specified training regiment or get surgery, options that simply aren't available to 90% of us. You can still exercise and eat healthy but most people don't care, see that as too much work (its really not) and think "I'LL NEVER BE SKINNY, ITS TOO HARD." and go eat a bag of potato chips or McDonalds. I do know some overweight/obese people have problems beyond their control, may they be glandular or psychological, but these a very small minority and a healthy, good lifestyle is within the reach of 95% of all people. Heart disease (caused by being overweight/obese) is also a pretty big killer in the US at least.

So, what I'm trying to say is that others shouldn't be cruel and judgmental to others over their weight but don't be surprised when there is such a preference for skinny in this day and time.

Skeleton doesn't equal healthy weight either, I don't think that was even the theme of the original post. I just felt like giving my two cents because of some other posts.

Exactly and over to personalities. How do some NTs not feel guilty with lying?
