Hi,

I'm a parent of a an aspie teen daughter. I 'm curious to know if she has any sensory issues. Noise, light and fabrics dont seem to bother her.

She doesn't like stockings with her school skirt, but I think that would be rational. I hate stockings, they always need hitching up.

But i do know she despises set custard, jelly, tapioca in milk. She doesn't like fruit in hot cross buns, but will happily chomp on choc hot cross buns with choc bits.

She talks about it too much, is this aspect ocd? too lumpy, too wobbly, disgusting-fat, gristle.

Fat and gristle are a huge issue in chicken and red meat, will shred and dissect her meat into a mess. She hates pulses and legumes, so being vegetarian would be difficult.

Does all this sound sensory or a bit ocd?

Thanks for your input and support

Sounds like sensory issues, not a big deal. I would kill to have it that easy with food and textures.

Definitely sensory issues.

I have basically those same issues with foods. I hate lumpy or wobbly of any description. I also hate any 'wet' food, anything too spicy, or too sweet. All my foods have to be dry, no sauces or anything, and what many NTs would find really boring. I think it probably is a sensory thing, yeah.
