On a similar note, do you complain about being emotionally immature or having no friends while you get excited over the stupidest, most trivial activities, and/or don't attend social activities?

HS/junior high is a peer-group pressure cooker, that is everyone is ALWAYS out doing something with someone when they're not taking care of responsibilities, do you know what I mean?

Like, you have to CONSTANTLY have to stick around others and meet new people to be part of the community.

You can't play video games and nevernything fun with anyone else and expect to get close to people.

Peer group pressure cooker, huh? Cute. There's a book for that: Middle School - get me out of here!

I am emotionally immature and have no friends, but I am spared the pressure cooker torture of trivial and social activities.

I know what you mean about a pressure cooker. Then it explodes in some argument or something, yay.

I just go for the "play video games and never do anything they count as fun" but then, I don't particularly want to get close to the people at school, 99%(not calculated) annoy me enough to never want to speak to them anyway.

My biggest hobby is dog training, which results in most of my friends being in their mid 30s or 40s... :D I get on better with people who aren't in my age group anyway.

Iggy, school is the last time in life you will be expected to find identity with others solely on the basis of age. In the Real World, young, middle aged and old hang out together on the basis of the common interests or activities they share. You've just discovered the Real World ahead of your peers!

PS Like your comment about tomatoes! I go with the old Yorkshire definition of fruit: 'anything you could eat with custard'. Tomatoes are out, but rhubard is definitely in!

I love video games, they've been a source of entertainment to me for most of my life. I'm also a fan of reading, and I absolutely love science, and anything to do with it, it's just so interesting. Physical hobbies for me include swimming, well that's basically it lol. I love science class in school, the only thing I like about school, glad it's summer break :) Any hobby that doesn't involve talking or necessarily being around people, I just hate being around people most of the time. I mean I have quite a few friends, but they're sort of my friends' friends, who have started becoming my friend, just by just seeing each other occasionally.

Haha, I guess you're right :) I've always found it easier to interact with people who are older than me, who knows what'll happen to me when I'm a cranky old woman ;)

I've never heard that yorkshire definition before, that's good! :D

Nope, I don't really complain about having no friends. If this means I do my little "trivial" things without my friends, so be it. I fail to see how "hanging out" and like playing COD and drinking is any less trivial of an activity than my hobbies.

Anyway, my hobbies:
Ice skating
Cooking
Automobile/auto repair
Gundam models
Anime
Video Games (though not abnormal amounts compared to everyone else)
Weightlifting

I guess that's it for the most part.

I've been asked the question "Do you have any hobbies?" by people so many times it's ridiculous.

Video games are my hobby. I really hate it when people want me to "do something creative". All of my creativity was sucked out of me. Not because of video games either. Besides arts and crafts are boring.

I do work out, but due to a recent seizure, I can't for a bit.

So video games are really my only hobby.

My hobbies are drawing and writing. In fact, I spend a little time doing this, because I prefer to read neuroscience articles.

My hobbies are reading, swimming, and aerial dance. Mostly the reading though :) I also enjoy collecting/reading about/anything to do with rocks and designing/building k'nex thrill ride sets.

I also enjoy reading but all of my books except for 2 or 3 are in storage. I also watch cartoons. I used to draw comics but alas, I've run out of ideas.

I guess gaming isn't my only hobby 8O

I enjoy composing music, listening to music, playing my piano, film-making, writing novels or short stories, playing chess and swimming.
