What traits make you feel glad that you are an aspie?

I can't say that I am particularly thrilled with being an Aspie, but there are a couple of positive traits that have been noticed by my superiors at work, and noted on performance appraisals:
- Attention to detail and analytical ability
- A knack for spotting incongruities, details that are out of place or just don't add up.

And one reference letter from a former employer cited a strong problem-solving ability involving "divergent thinking", and that I often could find information other people missed.

On the other hand, last year the performance appraisal also noted that in my written correspondence I sometimes to provide too much information or go into too much detail.

(Or as my team leader put it, "Don't give away the farm".) ;)

I like how fast I can become proficient with something. I use that aspect for my performance driving; I hear about a technique, I'll practice it for a weekend, and I got it (that's why I'm one of the few people who can drift on the FRONT tires).

All of them, for that is what I am. If you do not like it, that's your problem, not mine.

I think being an Aspie has only made me a better person, the only thing I'd have liked to be better at is socializing and I would like to have more confidence in what I do.

Maybe it would be better if I wasn't so honest, then when my sister asks me to tell the person on the phone that she's not in I wouldn't say "she said to say she isn't in". :P

You like anime? Do you like Azumanga Daioh? I think it's pretty funny.

I recall seeing a few episodes at a friends party, and he's really into Anime and anything from Japan (and yet he's NT, heheh).

I guess it's the eyes that get me.

Perfect pitch
Musical talent
The ability to focus on something so intensely that I forget all else around me and even forget to eat
Good swimming/running skills
Good memory
Good logic skills
The ability to read quickly and retain about 98 % of the information

Creativity and a certain amount of flair for the nerdy ;^) I was always that kid at recess who climbed on top of the monkey bars and read the book.
