Ok, so I've been told today at my assessment that I probably have Aspergers, but Ive got to see a speech therapist, and I've got to do an ADOS.
a) Whats an ADOS? What do you have to do? What sort of things do they ask?
b) What sort of stuff do you have to do at a speech therapist? BTW Im 14 and I dont have problems talking, but I have difficulties speaking to people and communicating things. What will I have to do?

Thanks for the help :D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism_Dia ... n_Schedule This may help?
From what I can gather it assesses your social skills by doing activities with you for an hour or so, and if you act all spergy in that time then you are an aspie. Or summat like that.

I remember when I was 7 or 8 or somewhere near that age, and was getting diagnosed; the therapist got me to put three different coloured balls on three different polls in a certain pattern according to a book, the balls would start out differently each time. and I'll have to stack a red ball on top of a blue ball, or something similar to that. I've forgotten a lot about the test since then, but that's what has stuck with me from back then. I'm not sure if that's the "ADOS" but I suspect that it is.

there were a few other tests, like drawing a line through a maze; but like I said, I can't remember much from back then. I suspect that the tests you'll be given will simple to understand, yet will easily engage your interest. My auntie works as a mental health doctor at the local hospital, and I remember her saying that she occasionally brought the test home for the people to do, simply because it was such a fun thing to do. might ask her to go through it with me at some-point in the future.

What MONKEY said was about right; I had my ADOS about 4 months ago.
