I've found out the name of the drug my son is going to have its called: Naltrexone. It's used for treating other conditions primarily but can be used to treat people with autism who self harm.

Has anyone been prescribed this before, would love to hear from you.

Care to elaborate? Do you know why your child is harming themsethemselves?

I have never been prescribed a drug to manage behavior or symptoms of autism, so you might want to try the patenting forum for a wider opinion.

Glen has communication issues. He doesn't talk although he is capable of doing so. Professionals have always felt that part of Glen's self harming is his way of communicating and also part of his self harming is a sensory need. Plus when he self harms severely he is definitely unhappy about something as he becomes extremely aggressive and forceful with his self harming and also hitting out at others.
