Anyone read Twilight series? I'm on Breaking Dawn and had a question. I"m confused about something. It's on page 339 of the hardcover edition. The line
So the psycho was "Rose" now. He'd completely crossed over to the dark side. I don't get it. Why put "Rose"? I know Jacob calls Rosalie Blondie.

Also page 250 of same book. Bella asks if this screws with her total since she's consuming human blood. Then Edward says that no one is counting. No one died for this. Bella's record is clean. Does she think that the blood she's drinking is from a person who the Cullens killed? It's strange because Cullens have animal blood, not human.

What's with Jacob going off in that expensive car only to come back?

About the movie though. The scene where Edward asks Bella how badly is she hurt? Why is his ring on right hand? Sometimes its on left and sometimes right. Error?

Thanks,

Jacob may call her Blondie, but he is quoting Edward, isn't he. Edward has started being friendly with Rose again, referring to her by name ("Rose"). That is what Jacob is saying.

But Carlisle is a doctor and has access to medical supplies of human blood taken from willing donors - Bella would realise that.

Bella has just not thought about things too much. She thinks drinking any human blood must be a blot on a vampire's record, but Edward is saying that the problem is killing someone for blood - not consuming blood from a willing, surviving donor. Of course, when vampires normally feed from a human, they drain the human, which kills them. So drinking from a human is usually synonymous with killing them. Medical blood is the exception. However, it wouldn't be wise for the Cullens to try and live off medical blood, because it would be like an alcoholic trying to stop at one drink (and medical blood is usually in short supply and needed for medical emergencies anyway - not for feeding a vampire's appetite).

He is over-stressed and uptight and needs to have a break and calm down. He wants to smash up the car, but as he calms down, he realises that it is no longer important or worthwhile. After all, Jacob appreciates flashy cars - he wouldn't want to destroy the expensive car - he respects the car too much.

And he realises during this journey, of course, that he cannot just "imprint" on anyone at will - much as he tries hard to do that. So the drive is where he rules out other women as an answer to getting out of Bella's way. He cannot give her up, and yet she is not his. The tension is driving him crazy.

Don't know for certain, but I have noticed that film editors often flip film over (back to front) during editing and then everything on the left appears on the right, and vice versa. I have no idea whether this is deliberate (the scene looks better that way) or merely accidental. It has happened in Star Wars, where the Wookie has a belt over one shoulder in one scene, and over the other shoulder in another scene soon afterwards.

Keep the details in mind and it will make more sense.

I realized also about that in movies. I saw a clip of some movie online, that I already have on DVD but it seemed like the scene was like what you described. I also noticed in Breaking Dawn when Bella "dies" after saying beautiful, her face looks different when Jacob tries to revive her. She appears to look up rather than to the right. I have found a website that talks about movie mistakes of various kinds. Apparently there is a mistake towards the end of the first Pirates of Caribbean movie too. You can see a camera man in present attire on the ship! I have to see the movie again.

When Bells does transform into vampire, I'm sure its painful. The morphine was given since she had to have C section, but it was still painful birth.

Oh ok about the "Rose" part. I got confused because Edward never calls his sisters, brothers or parents any bad names. He also calls Rosalie or Rose, never psycho. Jacob thinks that Edward doesn't really like Rosalie? Rosalie doesn't like Bella either, due to jealously since Bella is a human and can get pregnant. Plus Rosalie just wants the baby and doesn't care if Bella dies or lives. That's why Edward doesn't like Rosalie?

They were also planning to give her morphine to dull the pain of becoming a vampire.

"Rose" is what Rosalie's called when other people in the family are trying to be gentle with her, since she is easily offended, and the jealous kind of person. She eventually starts tolerating Bella, but it is painfully obvious that she prefers Nessie instead of Bella.

Man, Every time I hear about the Twilight saga, I keep thing about that god-awful movie. I want to remember Twilight for the books.

Ohhh ok. Edward rarely calls her "Rose" I know in the movie Esme calls her Rose.
You like the books better than the movie? What was about the movie? I know with Kristen cheating on Robert it may be ruining her fan base. A co worker saw all 4 movies and he couldn't stand it. But even some girls don't like either. I maybe thought that they can recast Bella and choose a prettier actress, but I don't know. I like Robert Pattinson as Edward :) I heard that they were going to choose Henry Cavill but he's older than Robert.

I prefer Robert portraying Cedric Diggory (Harry Potter) over him playing Edward. To be honest, all the details that made the books great were skipped over in the movies, and Kristen was never the right actress for Bella in the first place. The girl that was in the parody version made a better Bella, actually.

I didn't even know Kristen cheated on Robert. I don't pay attention to celebrities. :P

Info on Kristen's affair.

Oh yea I did see Vampire Suck. I agree that the actress on that would make a better Bella than Kristen. What about the actress who played Jessica in the Twilight series? Anna Kendrick I think? She would make a good Bella or that actress who was in Lemony Snicket, Emily Browning?

I agree on Emily Browning. She looks more like my idea of Bella than Kristen does.

I also thought that the actor who played Jacob in the parody was better looking than Taylor.

I find vampires suck very offensive- they didn't make a spoof of Harry potter and release that in the cinema did they? It's not just funny I know as an actor I would feel like I was being victimised. I feel really sorry for the actors in particular Ashley, Jackson and Kellan who had never had a big part in any film before. I made a solid refusal. I will never watch that film.
Anyway I did want to point something out about what you said earlier about Edwards wedding ring. Well after a year or so he won't be able to wear it anyway, none of the other male Cullen kids are allowed to wear their rings because it is to conspicuous, in fact Alice is the only one that does in the films (even though she didn't in Eclipse or Breaking dawn? Funny Ashley still has them... Hmmm....?) so yeh and also I got really confused because Bella is looking in the mirror at one point and her ring appears to bw on the wrong hand when actually it's thw reflection I tried it out myself and it looks like the wrong hand, as someone else mentioned film shots are often flipped so they mirrored his hands?

Are you sure you're reading the Twilight's breaking dawn? Cause i don't recall any of that or confusion in it, but it's been a while.

F**k sparkly vampires. The Doctor is more sauve, more badass, cooler, funnier, and much, much more intelligent. Also, he actually does something other than try to create teenage-vampire pregnancy and sparkle in the sunlight. If anything, if I was a girl, and I got to go with one of them, 100% with the Doctor, through time and space in the TARDIS, a blue box the bluest blue, and adventure comes.
Also, he's just cooler.

Necropost alert!

Though I do agree on what you say abut Doctor Who a little bit. I still like the Twilight books better than the movies.
