I have a very bad fear of loud noises and swinging objects.

Whenever I see a swinging object for example a boxing bag, lights swinging in the wind, or swings, I immediately get freaked out. My heart starts to race and if i'm in an exam i can't concentrate on my work. I try to look somewhere else so i can't see it but then it makes it worse because i can hear the noise that it makes.

As for my fear of loud noises, i've always been afraid of loud noises ever since i was a kid. I guess I must have Astraphobia (fear of thunder and lighting) as well cause whenever there is a storm and it is really loud i usually lay in my bed and cover my ears.

Does anyone else have these phobias?

I don't think my fears are as bad as yours, but I really don't like loud noises, especially if they are sudden or unexpected. The same applies to bright light, and water. I hate water too.

When I see a swinging object I get very anxious, restless and my heart starts racing, I hate the fact its movement can't be predicted (e.g. something swinging because of the wind), that it changes and it's not regular.I feel the urge to stop its swinging. I wouldn't call my reaction fear, rather anxiety.

I actually like storms :) I love the powerful sound of the thunder, it's thrilling.
I can't stand other types of loud noises, irregular noises in particiular drive me mad..
I'm not scared of loud noises but they confuse me and upset me, I'm scared of this more than of that.

I HATE loud noises; they cause a shutdown in my brain. I actually have misophonia, so there are some sounds I have literally ended friendships over.

I don't have much of a fear of anything swinging, although I would freak out if something was moving close to me.

I'm very sensitive to loud, unexpected noises. I can't stand the sound of loud car engines or motorcycles. I also can't stand being in the middle of a noisy crowd.

This is an old topic but I was so happy to see that I'm not the only one with this fear of swinging objects. Growing up and still to this day I have full blown panic attacks when going into restaurants that have lights hanging from chains. I also hate pendulums, swings, water moving, etc. another thing that would cause a panic attack is certain beats in songs. I can't predict what will cause my panic attacks but its mostly things swinging or moving in a certain way or certain noises or beats. I don't know if this is all related to aspergers or if I'm just strange!

When I see something swinging I freak out because I can see how that will turn out. For example, a tree tumbling. I feel it will fall on me!! I can see myself below it.

And loud noises... They make me cry and/or cover my ears, specially if they are from cars and motorcycles. And stupid alarm clocks, I hate those really high sounding alarms!! ! They cause me a lot of anxiety and desperation...

I can stand better human voices though, except for babies. They crying too loud makes me wanna disappear from this world. But when they cry lower they make me cry because I feel extremely sad....
