I can't seem to be able to control my voice at all. Like some times I'm really loud, some times I'm really quiet and some times I say things really high even though my voice is naturally pretty deep. But I don't notice I do that until someone points it out and some times it does people's head in ( a lot). Does this happen to anyone else; or do you have advice?

I used to alk very loud when I was a kid and my mom and aunt would tell me to calm down but I couldn't talking any less loud. Sometimes I tell someone something then I say it again 2 or 3 times to make sure it wasn't all in my head then they tell me to shut up and stop saying the same thing over again.

I can't really control my voice that well either, everyone always tells me I need to talk louder when I think I am talking at an okay level. When I was younger I used to get told to talk more quietly. People should make up their minds

I find it impossible to talk quietly. Which is exceedingly helpful when I am competing at Student Congress, Mock Trial, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Extemporaneous Events, or Model U.N. However, in all other situations it is a downright curse. I have gotten in trouble so many times for being loud when i thought I was just talking normally.

Taking singing lessons -- or just doing vocal exercises on your own -- will help with this. You probably will grow out of it, but just FYI I didn't.

No, sometimes it doesn't just naturally improve.

Like the other answer said, learning singing can help.

Also just other things like practising reading aloud, voice lessons, teaching yourself to speak in an accent, learning another language.

Anything that really requires you to train the mouth outside of your comfort zone...

I know some Spanish, some french, use to sing a bit and now my voice control has greatly improved to a decent level...

Controlling ones voice is a tricky business, especially knowing which volume to use.
As other have stated, singing lessons are a great way to improve voice control, in all aspects. Bonus points if you take them in a choir: you might end up with a few friends as well

I'm 19 already and I still talk really loud and monotonous. I can change my voice to almost anything, but only if I concentrate really hard on it like when I'm in a play reading lines or something.

If I'm just talking at my usual fast pace, everything I say sounds like I'm yelling. :x

I sometimes spend a lot of effort trying to control it but yeah, often I just lose track. Well thanks for the advice and letting me know I'm not the only one and since I do like singing, I'll try it ( I don't like choirs though :/ ). I happen to be a really good voice actress at my school, so I guess that's good? It's just that while acting I concentrate so it's fun but when I don't concentrate it gets out of hand... I guess that's life

I must've swapped you in my head with some other guy calling himself Max, I usually don't notice small details like your siggy until I really need to.
