Is anyone else painfully clumsy? I'm clumsy to the point of falling over absolutely nothing about 20 times a day and I constantly walk in to things. Everyone usually makes fun of me for it which sucks :x . When I play sports I get yelled at by everyone so I usually just walk around doing nothing at PE. I usually try to laugh it off and say stuff like "It takes skill to fall over nothing." But it really gets me down.

Anyone else like this ?

Yeah, I am fairly clumsy too, but not as bad as I used to be.

This might not be the kind of answer you're looking for, but I do think it's a good idea if you play more sports.

Not P.E at school, but maybe sports with friends.

Good friends who are supportive and would be less critical of you and sports.

Better yet, if your friends are also bad at sports than it just means no one can criticize anyone else.

Sports and physical exercise, alone or with others, can fix the clumsiness. You learn hand-eye co-ordination, dexterity, agility, movement, etc.

It doesn't have to be with friends either - I just kick the ball off the wall at home or hit the tennis ball against the wall. Whatever...

Its one of the symptoms of AS/HFA.

My first realization of just what a disappointment I was to my parents was when they insisted signing me up for Little League baseball and spent hours in the backyard trying to teach me to catch and hit a baseball, which I was utterly and completely unable to do. Nothing shreds your self esteem like being relegated to Left Field where there's nothing for you to do and still always missing the ball on the rare occasions that it gets hit in your direction. The least they could have done was let me bring a book.

You know you're uncoordinated when the class is choosing teams for kickball and they pick the kid in the wheelchair over you.

I can be clumsy. When walking down the halls at school, I quite often will almost bump into another person, which really bugs me. I'm also really bad at sports.

My dad forced me to play football (soccer). It is bad enough being a girl in the football world, let alone being a girl who doesn't work well in a team and is so clumsy that she completely misses the ball every time it comes near. I don't know what I got laughed at for the most, being a girl or being physically unable to hit the ball. I was so happy when my dad finally stopped taking me

I do bump in to people all of the time, much to everyone's annoyance. My 'friends' always tease me about it.

Except for bumping into stuff, knocking stuff over and falling down all the time, I'm not all that clumsy aha.

Here's even a video of me falling down lol

I still played basketball all of last year even though I sucked hard. I improved significantly over time though. The coach (who had been watching me play for a bit) even offered me a spot on the team for reserve, but I ended up starting at a new school this year, so that didn't happen.

There's still hope for you if you start to play sports and improve your skill, stamina, fitness, co-ordination, etc. NOW, instead of later like I did.

Or if you hate sports than just don't do it at all. Your call.
