A friend invited me to see the royals with him tomorrow. I declined, now i am having second thoughts the message I sent him sort of sums up my dilemma. Also, wondering if it is too late.

Name, I would love to hang out. :) but I am afraid that I am not much of a fan of the royals yet alone baseball. It actually became quite a controversy last semester when I said I do not really care much if the royals win or loose for the sport, though I appreciate the revenue they are bringing to the city...Suffice, to say my class did not let me off easy in that regard. Especially when I said even if some one gave me tickets I would not go simply because I do not really care. However, to be honest when you texted I did consider it because I saw it differently than just going to see a team play and instead as an opportunity to hang out with some one I consider a close friend. However, after some consideration I have concluded that it would be best for me to decline on the grounds of two reasons one I hate hypocrites and though as i stated earlier I don't necessarily see going as hypocritical out of my own value system I find it hard to compromise. Second, I hate crowds and loud places (it is part of my disability, it is part of why I never got in to big sports teams). Anyway, I really would love to hang out some time:) but I am afraid I must decline for tomorrow.

Post Scriptum

Sorry for the long winded answer, but I did not want to offend you as I consider you a good friend.

Name replaced to respect his privacy... And yeah, i have a problem with stadiums go figure..........

I don't get the whole poll. Do we answer yes or no to the fact youll stay or to the fact you tell your friend that you've changed your mind? And I dont get the whole message thing. Is it something you already sent or do you want to know if it's fine? Because I would say it's fine and you should say youve changed your mind.
And just a stupid question just like that: what's the definition of a hypocrit, for you?

Does it matter if we poll that you should stay or go, if you've already told him you changed your mind?
