Sounds like your parents are probably to stupid to be allowed to breed, but I guess it is a good thing they did anyway, because here you are. Please dont listen to such ignorant comments from your parents. They may very well just be jelouse that your intelligence has surpassed their own. It's a common fear among adults best to just ignore these kind of comments and keep exceling. Then when they are old enough you can check their wrinkly butts into an old folks home and tell them you learned on the internet that it was a great place to retire.

ditto.

I now have no contact with my father whatsoever and only very limited occasional contact with my mother. If people do nothing other than drag you down, it is best not to be around them.

If, at the moment, you have no choice but to be around them, just do the best you can for yourself (aim to get good grades - which it woulds like you're already doing) and look after your health and look forward to the day you can LEAVE!

but don't be in a hurry. my bro was and he didn't even finish his studies so could leave as soon as possible. strangely, he as an NT person didn't handle father's behavior as well as i did. i just lived in my world under their roof until i finished the university and then left over 3000 km far away. i see them once a year now, for Christmas :)

I think many NT adults(especially parents) are too emotional and irrational (because of their emotions) to have their opinions valued by people who could be considered intellegent, creative, or rational. My parents are.

Yeah sometimes I feel that my parents don't understand me. But usually I just look on the bright side of life, and move on. This usually works unless your family is twice as weird as mine, and they never leave you alone.

My mom & NT sister never understand me because they refuse to do so.
They are in denial about my Aspergers; instead my mom placed Tourettes in its place.
What a load of BS!

I've found most people are naturally inclined to think I'm lying.
"Tim did you break this?"
"No"
"You're lying"
"I'm not lying"
.......
.......

My family sometimes fails to understand me, but I think I have pretty good parents. A couple of times I used their misunderstanding of me to get out of trouble!

Gaah! My family are constantly misunderstanding me!
The majority of the time, I live with my mum, and my brother, when he comes back from uni. Neither of them understand me, despite my recent AS diagnosis. They don't seem to appreciate my obsessions, how important they are to me, and wonder why I spend all my time engaging in them and not going out, like other "normal teenage girls". Well, what do they expect from someone with Asperger's?!?!
