Anyone have any student accommodation stories?

I am currently considering moving into student accommodation for my next year of University.

This year I am doing a foundation course, but starting the next academic year I will be on a 3-4 year full degree. So far I have just been commuting to University.

So... does anyone have any stories they would like to share of their experiences living in student accommodation? The good, the bad, or the just plain bizarre, it doesn't matter.

If you have your own room, it’d be much better than having a roommate/roommates.
