What is your most favorite thing about the holidays? I really like the general mood of the holidays and, well, getting gifts :D ! What holiday do you celebrate?

That there is a December 26th lol

Seriously, I like looking at the Christmas lights at night in many houses.

I really like the mood of christmas, not that much a fan of all the lights and the noisy family traditions. I like drinking hot cocoa while looking at the snow outside. It's just so nice and pretty :D

I like the lights, the snow (if there is any), spending time with family, having special meals, and of course, the presents. :D

Do not like Christmas or any holidays

Between December 24 and January 1, things are the worse

Either (almost) everything is closed

Or, when things are open, it's crowded

Traffic jam

Religious zealots

It gets dark at 5pm

Feel left out

No precious lil "friends" or "family"

I love Christmas lights! I love looking at those houses that are covered with lights!
I also love Christmas trees. Especially Christmas trees that are encircled by model trains!

everyone has gone away on holidays (8 week school term break (our christmas is in summer)), and the roads are empty.

i just find the whole thing really stressful since having no job impacts how much you can get people presents to show your commitment and capable of buying what they want or what they might like which sets the mood for the whole day as we usually open them in the morning and try to put a happy face on.

Getting pressured to eat too much. Bad

Feeling left out. Bad

Almost everything closed. Bad

Uppity holiday music. Too much

Colder temperatures than the rest of the year. Not great

Black Friday shopping. Crowded. But when else can you get those deals?

The other thing is that not all religions get the same emphasis

Muslim holidays do not get treated like  holy days :nerdy: in the united States

Christmas gets treated like it's so special

But

But

But

 separation of church and state

:D

I hate my seeing my family and them pretending they know about me.
Last Christmas I had my grandma say "I'm sure you're doing well in school" and it was weird to just say I didn't go.
I am looking forward to seeing what everyone gets for Christmas though.
