I recently learned that my special education teacher is leaving next school year. I have absolutely 0 friends and an exceptionally hard time connecting with/relating to others due to my autism; this teacher is one of the very few people I have been able to connect with in the past few years, and I fear that I am going to get very lonely at school and hate it as a result. I really do not want this to happen, as I have experienced it before and it was hell. Any suggestions as to how I can deal with this effectively and appropriately?

Maybe ask this teacher to help you form a relationship with some of the other special ed teachers before they leave.
