No, it happens to everyone.

Visit a dietician and get help to change your diet. Laziness is the result of junk food eating.

I think laziness is caused by a lack of motivation...at least in my experience.

i agree: lack of motivation!

find one of your friends to go exercise with. or go running w/ a sibling or your dog and they can help motivate you! just try eating healthy too, after a while you'll realize chips and cookies are nasty.

believe me, it's all motivation. you should join track as well! you'll meet tons of people and you'll get into shape and be motivated!

I have severe motivation problems! I cannot bring myself to do homework, chores, get out of bed...
Some people with ADD have problems with motivation, as opposed to stereotypical ADHD people who are "always on the go". And I have all the traits ofADD andam currently waiting for a DX. i think that, along with AS, is the cause for my motivation and procrastination problems!

I have a severe lack of motivation to do anything with my life, so I am probably considered "lazy". People have tried to motivate me to get a decent job and move on with my life but I would never listen to them. I would tell them that I would rather be an autistic bum than be a productive citizen and they don't seem to care.

I've been described as lazy because I don't believe in putting out a lot of effort unless I'm going to see good results from it. When I really believe or am interested in something, I will put in a lot of effort.

Another reason we are seen as lazy is because we often have executive dysfunction. Mum used to say (and this was long before I ever got diagnosed with Asperger's) "You seem to know what to do - so why can't you just do it?"

I couldn't give her an answer because it baffled and frustrated me just as much as her. It seemed as if I couldn't even get started. This is still an issue now that I live away from home.

It could also be a result of perfectionism: only wanting to try if you know you're going to get it right.

I must say that procrastination is no stranger to me either.

The way I visualize it, is that I have tons of stuff I have to do (including cleaning the house etc) but somehow I keep putting some stuff on the bottom. Each time something new arrives the old stuff comes after I did that specific new thing, effectively stopping me from doing the stuff I've deemed 'less important'. I don't think that it's laziness, but a flawed (?) prioritization on my part...

(does this make sense to anyone?)

I find I can be very lazy.

It wouldn't surprise me if eating junk food can make you a bit more lazy as I find I feel a bit more awake when I have eaten healthy food than I do when I have eaten junk food.

Although lack of motivation is definately a good reason.

I'm kind of lazy, and tend to procrastinate as well.

I can't bring myself to care. Or to focus. I also block myself a lot. I'm sure many are aware just how difficult it can be to do stuff when the person trying to stop you IS you...

I'm very lazy. But I'm quite avid a reader and even more so a gamer. That is where I put all my effort.

I'm not lazy. I just don't like to work. 8) I don't procrastinate either. I just prefer to do certain things later. Or never.
