It sucked for me back in the 1970s.

It was a nightmare for me in the 80s and 90s.

I'm currently a junior and it's pretty exhausting. I hope my senior year in a few months will at least be slightly easier (especially considering the fact that I don't have to take any math classes during the 2023 - 2024 school year, yay me).

For some reason, I like school. The people are nice there and there’s neurodivergent kids too.
Don’t ask me why this school is good…

I am interested in the topics of most of my classes and get relatively good grades, but I cannot socialize with any of the students, or really communicate with them about anything unrelated to my interests/the current class. People are also way too crude and everyone seems to be way more independent, being able to buy things at stores during school hours and drive to school.

I've been running a sort of, 'Evaluation' in regard to how High School has been doing, last year(Freshman) was a hell of a disaster, heck, I got heckled as I was walking out of school once. It was almost of comedic proportion. Now, I'm in my Sophomore year, it's been hit-or-miss. I've been trying to reach out, I actually was able to make a sort of, proto-friend, united over our bond for Undertale. But we never saw each other again due to the fact we share no classes, so there will likely be no growth, resulting in 'friendship atrophy'. But it's cool ig.

I hate highschool. I wish I could drop out without ruining my life in the process. My parents also would rather die than let me drop out because they place so much value on school. I mostly hate the social aspect. Being able to be seen and judged by so many people makes me uneasy. Sort of ironic because I'm posting on here, where many can and will judge what I post.

It's pretty mediocre so far, I guess. I love taking fun classes, being in the top band, and getting lead roles in plays, but the academic rigor is eating me up. Socially there's way less drama compared to middle school, but I still need to constantly be on guard to avoid conflict. It's kinda depressing.
