I thought about putting this in the social skills forum, but I'm really only looking for answers from a specific demographic, teen and college age males.

Do you find it easier to interact with people of the same or of the opposite gender? Speculate as to why that is the case. Anecdotes would be great especially if they help answer the previous question.

find it easier with women - they forgive my asperger's, while other guys tend to despise me for it.. :(

I have a difficult time interacting with either gender. I guess interacting with other guys is a bit easier. Hot girls are probably the most difficult for me to interact with. It's f**king hopeless in that situation.

Of the same gender, by far, at least among my peers.

Hmmm, difficult question. I'd say their age and gender doesn't matter, only their personality and/or interests.

females preferred they tend to be A LOT more compassionate and understanding of me, gay males are usually as good as females. straight males it depends, if they are a jock i am at a loss. Age is of no value. So pretty much it all falls to the interests and personality in the end as Magneto says.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I don't want a girl to "forgive" my aspergers and have pity on me.

more like look beyond it and dismiss the asperger's is mine impression. women are just better at reading emotions.
