Oh dear. I hope that they do not sentence you. What lead to the breakdown?

Whoa. Triple post.

That's OK. Good luck on the court hearing.

Well... Out of curiosity, how does a breakdown cause one to set a piece of paper on fire? I've had a couple total breakdowns, but mine generally involved myself lunging at whomever refused to leave me alone, tackling them, and attempting to choke them until they left me alone. I have trouble imagining that a total breakdown would leave enough control to set a fire. *shrugs* And since when was AS linked to a fascination with fire?

Good luck on your court hearing, though.

My breakdowns used to consist of yelling and screaming to anyone who wouldn't leave me alone.

Well, so do my more normal ones. The ones of which I spoke are exceedingly rare--only twice in my life have I had something like that happen, and the second time I couldn't catch the person in question. Even so, I can't imagine holding enough composure to work a lighter or match.

im sorry man but this post is gonna make me sound like a jerk

its hard to empathize with you when you wont tell us what happened .... also you might want to think about this a little more your talking like you had no control over what happened .. i understand that AS makes us more prone to this stuff but (although i dont know the situation) i think you need to accept some responsibility

or at least fake it not showing regret seems to ensure a harsh sentence

I can kind of understand why you would do that. I have done very stupid things due to stress. Although breakdowns for me are a little differen't...I just lose self control. But of course people have differen't ways of handling things. I hope you do not get in too much trouble for burning the paper but also I hope you find a better way to handle things to avoid jail time. Anyways, good luck on the court date!

If I have a breakdown, it generally involves me screaming and shouting, and then attacking someone, and only stopping when I am physically held down. :(

What I fail to understand is how you can get arrested for setting a piece of paper on fire.

Seems ridiculous in my opinion.

Then having to go to court for setting it on fire as a result of having a breakdown sounds rather bad.

Good luck
