I wouldn't mind being normal, my sisters are popular, well liked and very chatty. I would probably be like them if I wasn't an aspie. However without my aspergers I wouldn't be able to think of the all amazing artworks I produce. I've gotta say, being an aspie is a double edged sword...

You know i never thought of it that way, i mean i dont know where my life would be if it werent for my special interests, i would most likely have no personality whatsoever and would be a turnip with a pulse(i think thats what people say to describe a lifeless person)

I don't really like these questions because they're hard to answer for anyone... you wouldn't be you (cliche as that is.)

I really don't know. I used to want nothing more than to be normal, after I found out about the whole AS thing. I'd always made jokes about me being weird, but finding out that there really could be something wrong with me was a bit like a slap in the face.

But now I look at all the normal people and think: I wouldn't want to be like that. Most NT teenage girls do nothing but stab each other in the back, squeal about celebrities and go get drunk at parties. And to be honest, I'd rather be a little odd than spread rumours and gossip. But then I think about how much easier everything would have been if I was NT and I'm not so sure anymore.

Then again, Asperger's makes me who I am... taking it away would make me a different person. I probably wouldn't write like I do now... and honestly, that thought just makes me keep it.

Never!

Though, I really wouldn't be sure if I had the choice before birth whether I wanted to have AS or not.

I fell in love with him because he was the most interesting man I ever met. He could talk about almost anything (he´s been reading since he is 4, so he knows a lot of things) and I could listen for hours. We also have a very similar sense of humor, we like the same music, watch the same TV shows and both enjoy movies. We have a lot in common. I used to love dancing, but he does not dance and dislike discotheques, so I stopped dancing. But he dislikes outdoors and I love nature, and he goes out with us (our daughter loves nature, too) to parks and stuff; he might get cranky, but he is there for us and even tries to enjoy. I just love him.

I don't think so. Maybe if I could try it then decide what I liked better. But I have no idea what it'd be like to be normal so... Yeah.

idk... still now I want to be normal, I don't really see any good from AS....
people said my poems are great, people read my first one and thought I was writing for years, but wouldn't I still be able to write like that without AS?
