I don't do contests well. I get overexcited no matter how often I remind myself of it's 'just being a game.' I boss people around. I have mediocre-to-poor sportsmanship. I invariably experience a mild, extended panic attack-like episode that lasts the entire competition. I leap up from my seat and run around the room. I laugh uncontrollably. I have a fast, yelping, jittery way of calling out answers for which I have become somewhat famous. The worst part is that I know how ridiculous I'm being, but I am so deep in adrenaline overload that I can't stop myself.

:bounce: Yaaaaah! Five meters, right? Yaaaaaaaaaah!

I'm kind of a bad competitor. I whine alot with video games( How do you aim so well, how come my gun wouldent reload, this is !@##$%&*, etc). Its bad, no one want to play against me anymore, unless i force my brother to. Then again this is mainly against family members. IE when i play against non-family people, i tend to keep the whining internal.

That an i nitpick with rules.

Overexcited is a great way to describe it. I get all caught up in the game that i don't filter what im going to say when im at home. Outside home, i still think the whining, just catch it before i say it.

I'm glad im not the only one that does this.

I don't mind the losing part, since I can pretty much anticipate it with any sport that I undertake. (Games not so much, and I recognize that I can get irritable if things aren't going my way, but not majorly so.)

However, I know I'm a poor competitor in more "social" than competitive games - such as the neighborhood croquet or bocce games. This is because people always want to change rules (bored of playing by the regular rules, want the game to be faster/slower, give people an advantage/disadvantage, just for fun) and I cannot understand why. Then I have a problem and the whole game becomes uneasy or unpleasant. (Obviously, I understand logical things like a five-year-old getting free shots in a game against adults.)

It's just a rules thing.

My sportsmanship is TERRIBLE
I have hit the bullies, but the advice here

helped quite a bit!! !! !! !!

Also, egos clash and many of ours simply crush. It is quite painful. Now I am apathetic. Even with "college prep" competitions are simply too arbitrary for my time. Trivia is overrated.

When I'm playing a sport, I often forget entirely that it's just a game. I get very aggressive, I once tried to twist a kid's arm.
That's why I like solo sports like skiing and skating.

I'm actually one of those odd people who gets more tired from doing nothing than from keeping busy. Strange how the mind works, eh? When you have nothing to do, there is no reason to stay awake.

I'm the opposite of aggressive in sports...i'm actually rather apathetic.

At high school when we had P.E lessons, my team-mates would always be yelling at me, telling me to pay attention and move faster. Truth be told, I didn't care what the outcome of the game was. I was just dreaming away in my own mind waiting for the game to finish so I could get to my next class.

I'm generally good at arguing and defending my point with someone if I ever get into a disagreement.. And if playing games I generally don't care whether I win or lose but I still try, I never get mad or anything though if I lose. :P

I was the same way. Thank goodness I don't have to do P.E anymore (since I do martial arts) :)
