Are you homeshooled? If you are, is it becouse you were always H.S., or did you
have problems with public school?

Me? I had problems with public school. The bullies, the worthless time there. I learn
more homeschooling then the public school.

How about you?

I am homeschooled. I went to public school for pre-school through 2nd grade, and then again for 7th-9th. The first time I was homeschooled was it had more to do with my local public school system being bad. The reason I went back to school, halfway through 7th grade, was that my parents thought I had an attitude problem or something, I guess I was sent there as a punishment (and it was punishing beyond their wildest dreams). Last year, when I was halfway through 9th grade, after a few months of being sent to the pricipal's office almost daily I got to go be homeschooled again.

I definetly feel like I learn more in a week homeschooling than I did in my last two years of public schooling.

I was home schooled for the second half of 6th grade using a cyber school program, and for the second half of 7th grade where the public school just sent my work home. Both were for problems in public school.

I was in public school until the 8th grade, and I then went to a private school for two years, but sadly, the school had to close due to funding issues, so I have been homeshcooled since.

I used to be homeschooled, but we lived in a remote area, and since my mum can't teach math, and you need a certain certificate to graduate, and I thrive on routine, I went to secondary school.
It sucks, and I wouldn't recommend it, but seeing how fast this year has gone, I will be done my time in a flash.

I go to a public school, I am not home schooled. Honestly, I would rather go to a normal mainstream school than be homeschooled. That way when I get out into the real world it will be less of a slap in the face.

I am homeschooled and I like it this way. i have never gone to public school, honestly I don't think that I would last very long because of the way I learn... It took me about four years to get Algebra 1 learned. 4 different books, also. I cannot stand having to talk to other people not in my family or close aquaintances. They always expect me to answer or they talk about topics I know nothing about... ie boy/girlfriends, public school, or other things. Drives me nuts.
If I was given a choice between public and home school, I'd chose home. But that is just me...

I never been home schooled until my freshman year in HS. I went to private schools for people LDs my whole life. So I really didn't get made fun of that much...but I did get ignored a lot...I just really couldn't deal with the kids my age there, and my stupid homeroom teacher who thinks his way is the right way.

(I go to a Christian school) If you are Christian, I do not want to offend you, I just HATE it when people get so arrogant and stuck up about their beliefs and think that their way is the only way to live. :x

I only take history at this school because I love that subject, I am home schooled on all other subjects.

I've found that people who are home-schooled are usually smarter than others.

But how can you learn social skills if you are homeschooled? You might as well diagnose everyone who's homeschooled with AS. ;/

I've been homeschooled since 7th grade (now in 12th...actually graduating early.), but I went to a private school for 3rd-6th grade, and 3 public schools for 1st-3rd grade. Parents pulled me out because the teachers were playing favorites, and I wasn't one of them. One of the teachers even refused to give me work because I would leave early on Tuesdays to go to classes at mom's church. She ended up trying to fail me in that class.

I agree completely. People at my mom's church are exactly like that. I'm more open-minded and accepting of others than they are, and I'm pretty much a loner there because of it.

Not necessarily. Your parents can find programs in your area that you can get involved in...you can join sports at a local school...you can be friends with the kid down the street.

I've gone to school online since the second half of ninth grade. It's like being homeschooled, only I do it over the computer instead of having someone at home teaching me.

I don't really like it. As much as I never thought I'd say it, I miss the social interaction of a real high school.

Yeah I am homeschooled. Glad to be! I used to go to public school when I was wee (lol love that word), but I had a lot of problems, so I was taken out in 3rd grade. Later I joined a private school. This was ok the first year because I kept to myself. However, (you might not find this true) but all the guys got mad because I was "stealing" their girlfriend's attention. How petty. Anyway, that school only went to junior high (there is a word for that but I can't remember >.<), where I went to a completely new highschool (Catholic, just like my junior highschool). I did not know anyone, I was the only person in the ENTIRE school who wasn't Catholic, one of two people in the highschool who wasn't fifty percent german, and (to put it plainly) was the only smart person in the class (other than one of other new kid who I became friends with). However, for some reason, these Catholic Germans loved being perverted; i.e. grabbing my inner thighs and surrounding areas (and I am not talking about the girls). Anyway, lol, I left there halfway through, and went to another school. This one was a public school (yet, Catholic), and it was okay the first two weeks, but after that, it got way worse than the other school (abuse, the mental hurt way worse than the physical, ensued). Anyway, I had to finish out that year if I wanted to have a chance at an early college program. Anyway, so after that year I left, started taking dual credit courses, and now I have made it into the early college program XP!! !! !! !! !
