I wasn't for a long time. I hated myself and took it out on other people and trying to be someone who I wasn't.

I've come around a corner, and I think you'll find many of you will see a change in me.

Ditto, I couldn't imagine being any other way. Needless to say, I'm still deciding whether or not I'm proud of being an aspie.

I don't mind being autistic, except for the fact that I tend to be lacking in anger and that I'm intimidated by things that should not intimidate me, like people for example. I consider it both a blessing and a curse, a blessing because it makes me more humane and kind, but a curse because it also makes me weak and easily intimidated/discouraged emotionally. If I could have my anger and if I wasn't so intimidated by people for no f*****g reason, I wouldn't mind being autistic at all. But to be honest, I'm somewhere in the middle, I am proud because no neurotypical could put up with the s**t we deal with, but I'm ashamed that I can't be as courageous and bold as I want to be.

I'm not proud of being an Autie. I can see how you can be PROUD of a disability.

It's classed as a disability to NT's. TO Auties and Aspies, AS isn't, but I still feel that I can't feel proud of it.

I have nothing against Auties and Aspies, I just don't feel proud of myself for having ASD. I know I couldn't help it, but I don't feel that I have anything to be proud of when it comes to it.

If you feel proud, I'm happy for you. :) (Bit ironic. O.O)

OK, thats your view that thats fine.

I personally think Asperger's does more good than bad. I see it more of a gift then a disability.
