Do you think you will live alone when you are older and do you really care???

I want to live on my own for my whole life (although I do plan to have a pet cat), I would like it.

I certainly do not want to get married and I wouldnt care if I was single for the rest of my life, either, it would give me more time to concentrate on what matters and I would be more free to make my own decisions.

Yes, eventually I will live alone. I don't think I'll ever get married (I've no desire to); it would be nice to have a partner/companion of sorts, but I would probably want to go home to my own place, maybe with a dog.

I'm living without any other people right now. Having a pet is nice, and one pet is plenty. Lots of perfectly normal people don't marry just for reasons concerning wanting to have one's own space and independence. Having a boss to answer to is enough for some. I have lived with other people in roommate situations, and I can handle that, and be around other people at work once I get used to them, but I have wondered if the expectations a wife would most likely place on me would be too much. I know some women have really high standards (sometimes ridiculously high), and they may not tolerate some of the quirky things I do with re-engineering things and keeping my cost of living low (why would I want to do that?). Many who do marry don't stay that way, often for good reasons, though sometimes the reasons can be trifling. The grass is always greener...

I had a negative experience with my last roommate situation. I prefer living alone if that last experience was a model of what to expect from living with people (married or otherwise). I know some people like to have things just perfect, and their socializing expectations (party down!) can be a bit too much. Concentration on my interests has had a negative impact on how I am perceived when living with other people.

In a way I really want to find a life partner but having the house to myself all the time...it just seems like a dream.

It's highly likely and I don't mind at all. Though personally I'd prefer to live with or near my #4brother still. It's good to have someone you can rely on nearby, for help if nothing else.

I think that makes sense, to have a monogamous partner, but to also retain ownership of one's own property. Straight marriage needs reform, such as protection of personal property rights and protections against getting sued if a spouse does something irresponsible. Be mindful also to avoid the untenable situation of possibly being booted out of the residence when the partner gets angry.

I would like to have my own place as well. I want a place to call my own, and to do what I want with it. I don't like the idea of sharing a place with someone, paying rent on someone elses property, or getting married, then divorced, only to give up half of my belongings.
This may sound selfish, but I don't really ask for much from other people, I just want my own things.

If I keep up the way I'm going...it's a distinct possibility.

Probably. But I don't know if I like the idea of living alone. I mean, I do but I don't know how well I'll take care of myself alone. I would love to have someone else living with me-- but it'd have to be someone that really understood everything about me. =p

Most likely with pets but without other people.
I don't see myself ever being in a relationship and I definitely don't want to live in a flat with strangers.

Judging by the way things are now, I probably will end up living alone. And that doesn't bother me.

I like the idea of living on my own when I'm older and being able to live somewhere entirely suited to me.:)
However I can't for definate say that I will live on my own forever when I'm older. What I can say for definate is that I will have a pet dog. :D

Judging from how things are for me at the moment, the chance of me living alone throughout my life is very high. Though whether I care about that or not usually depends on my mood at the time.

Most likely.

As long as I can have cats, it's fine.

But in the end, so what? As much as we look to relationships, they just serve to create another volatile, oscillating, unpredictable variable in life. I want to know what the big deal is, but I'm not requiring them to become my life (not getting rid of the possibility either).
