I go to a Math and IT specialist college in the UK, and it's part of an Autism Outreach program, so there are a lot of people there like me. I've found 6 friends there and now I have people I can relate to.
Have any of you guys formed friend groups like that?

There are two people whom I know in real life that I highly suspect of having Asperger's, but neither of them know they have it. They are both good people, but I'm too shy to have extended conversations with either one considering that they are both introverted as well.

My group of friends at school have a few aspies in it, and we all get on very well. But all of my out of school friends (I have 3) are NT's.

In all honesty: The line is blurred. My entire circle of true friends is made up of creative, strong-willed, introverted, intelligent individuals,
and even some of my aqquaintances in the world of barbies and kens seem to be either over-adjusted and truly sweet, or a little bit too insightful and machiavellian for the average student at my school "Smart, not genius"-HAVO building of a society of schools.

Most likely that one of my teachers has Asperger's... When I first met him he seemed totalitarian, mad, and cruel, but a year on and I realize he believes in spooking us to get us working(He's doing a better job then any other teacher with the Problem Cases), is RICH!(For a teacher, that's... wow), and his random outbursts of completely mad mockery, in odd tones, parroting and cynicism have struck a chord that I only associate with myself when I'm hyped.

At any rate, it's all irrelevant, we all have our widely varying selves. Somehow, being an Aspie is no more significant then having any other setup of traits. I like that : ) So I don't speculate^^

I have a friend from school named Kenny that is about 15 years old. Kenny does much better than me socially both online and in the real world but reports most of the symptoms of Asperger Syndrome. Currently we are best friends and I seem to get along with him just perfectly, we understand each other so well and often 'read' each others minds when we have conversations...

If only I could meet a girl with AS, maybe we would have so much in common.

I know a lot of Aspies at my school, both diagnosed and undiagnosed. There's a special class designed for us there, and I go there in the mornings. I'm friends with a lot of them, and it helps to be near people who understand me.

There are NO Aspies at my school. It's so lonely there. My NT friends are cool, but I want to hang out with someone more like me.

I got one 'real' aspie friend, he's called Ben and he's a brilliant comic style artist, other than that I just have a s**t load of NT friends, I get on quite well socially, most think i'm weird and strange but they like me, they call me tank man too cause I can beat even the toughest guys in arm wrestles, its fun :D

Yeah, there's quite a few but they're all male so I don't talk to them that much other than the compulsory social skills group on a Wednesday lunch time for people on the spectrum.

Yes, & that's likely always true...sigh. I'm at University and whilst I do like many NTs I do miss 'my kind.'
