When I was in grade 11 a good friend of mine died with leukemia, yesterday I learned that another friend, while not as close as the first one but I still know him quite well... has brain cancer.

Last week he went into surgery to remove a brain tumor, they discoverd that it was cancerous and it is spreading fast. The only thing that can be done is to do standard treatement to see how long it will give him. It could be from a few months to a few years.... I don't know, but either way he is dying.

What also tuggs on me about this is he used to have a crush on me in high-school. He'e only 24.

Losing a close friend is devastating, especially to a beast of a battle such as cancer. There will be a lot of remorse, regret and sorrow but don't let it be on your part. Spend as much time as you can and cherish the remaining years. You'll be glad you did for the memories you share.
