need help wiv a situation

where to start well here goes.

I recently found out one of my so called best friends has been playing ppl against me and me against ppl.

I started to figuire out wot was going on on sat (yesterday) after talking to my best friend about a fall out we nearly had because of this.

last week i was in a show and mybest friend steven came to see it but coz of the content of the show steven left because it was too much and too in ur face. he told my so called best friend this and told him to tell me he wud txt me later. but the message i got was 'steven left the show he didnt give a reason but he told me he was ****ing raging.' wen i enquired why steven was angry if he sed anything else the other firend sed 'steven sed nothing else just left and shot me a dirty look. is everything ok. have u guys had an argument?'

i started to freak out thinking steven hated me and got really upset about it. yesterday steven phoned me really angry because we nearly fell out and we had not even had an argument. we were fine and steven didnt leave the show because of me and he wanted to hang out wiv me coz he still loved me. so i managed to get that sorted.

normally i wud think this was just a genuine wires crossed sit but on fri i was talking to two of my friends dan and steph and they told me that my so called best friend had gone round and told ppl not to be my friend coz i was HIS friend. I was so angered by this because i hate wen ppl tell me who i shud and shudnt be friends wiv.

he constantly told me ppl were bitching about me but they weren't.

not sure wot to do.

I know i have about two options.

1)get to the bottom of this and find out wot is actually going on.
2) tell my so called best friend to get to hell.

I know wot ever i do i need to tell steven everything.

I would suggest option number one, you MIGHT piss someone off, but I have found that in most situations, honesty is the least painful solution.
